Archivist Notes: This session was named for the lessons in etiquette Kiri shares in
how to act for the installation of a new President of Sirius. In this case, her and Karra's father. This tape will make a great podcast for the Durondedunn spoken by Tia and the Cubs during their time being channeled. Tia was the mistress of ceremonies for this channeling session which lasted the normal 90 minutes.

SIDE ONE

(Tia takes over)

Tia: running live?

Russ: theoretically yes, let me double check.

(Tia sighs.)

Russ: yep, rock 'n roll.

Tia: MCP's.

Russ: where? Where? In here?

Tia: yes.

Russ: I haven't seen a one.

Tia: directly diagonally to me.

Russ: you let me know if you see one, I'll make sure I get him out of here.

Tia: okay, I see one, I see one..right there.

Russ: I'm out of here. And who are you going to channel to huh?

Tia: well at least I wouldn't have to put up with so much back chat(?) I'll channel to Hurrah.

(one of the cats in the room)

Russ: yeah there you go and I can just imagine the conversation with Omal.

(Tia proceeds to start speaking to the cat in Durondedunn)

Russ: how you doing dear? Life treating you good?

Tia: (after a last Durondedunn word or two)

Russ: good.

Tia: uh-huh, okay let us get down to business on this pre-festive night for you and yours. Okay let me see, stock market, stock market's doing some nice, interesting little fluctuations isn't it?

Russ: up and down.

Tia: up and down like a yo-yo, remember what I said a while back that it would do this.

Russ: uh-huh.

Tia: now what does the future hold as everybody's now looking into the future on December the 23rd, 1997 at approximately 8:30? Well the future, the future is uncertain, all events are currently in motion. And as the fact that I'm still waiting for analytic reports so that I can plan for the year ahead, however I see the first three months being a little bit much like the last three months with its wild fluctuations and climbs and decreases. A time for wise planning, wise investment. On a overseas note, we have going certain economic situations in the Orient. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 is doing some interesting hip hopping up and down. The market is still up overall in the Orient except for in certain markets such as Hong Kong, Seoul, let me work my way down the peninsula, Taipei, Shanghai pretty much they're down overall but they're still up on the year even though some are actually now in the red as opposed to the black where they were earlier on last month. So, let us look at certain factors and go over these factors. External forces and influences as stated in the past are to play a important role in the economic fortunes of the United States. These external influences as been stated obviously are very external and are starting to come into play which is the reason why the U.S. market is doing these wild fluctuations. These external influences are creating a rippling effect that as the ripple goes, it goes up and down, up and down. Very simple analystic and worded very simply and a little bit sillilly. But, that is factor one, external influences in the market interacting with yours. Factor two, crime statistics. Crime statistics overall are down however, certain age groups, crime statistics are actually going from a steady, normal growth up 3%, up 4%, up 12%, those are normal figures and are jumping dramatically, up 25%, up 32%. Certain categories of crimes, the general trend is downward however again, certain groups.....certain age groups, the figures are actually way above normal. Up 52% up 33% up 12%, these factors are all double or even quadruple of the normal climb rate.

Russ: I would like to make an addendum to this.

Tia: certainly.

Russ: last night I was watching a special on MTV concerning the ICP.

Tia: ICP?

Russ: which stands for Insane Clown Posse.

Tia: uh-hmm.

Russ: Insane Clown Posse is this group...musical group out of Detroit where they dress up in clown faces. Their music is all death based, it's like death metal and it's almost rap...death rap, white guys but the whole crowd is in face paint and there's broken bones, there's massive contusions, there's bruises at their concerts and the people that are actually going to these concerts, I was watching some interviews with some of them, very......one of the most disturbing signs of moral degradation I have seen beyond anything that's happened to this point.

Tia: uh-huh.

Russ: and it was the most scary thing I've seen on the TV.

Tia: now this age group is between 18 and 25 correct?

Russ: 15 and 25.

Tia: 15 and 25.

Russ: uh-huh.

Tia: that is the age group I'm actually covering, certain age groups was my comment.....18 to 25

Russ: this was it. They were racist, they were violent, their whole attitude was completely beyond third dimension to almost second dimension if you can go to that point.

Tia: uh-huh.

Russ: whereby all they were strictly into hate, flashing the finger, F this, blah this, blank blank blank.

Tia: so, certain moral behaviors. Well let's first of all put up we have external international factors....

Russ: right.

Tia: we have criminal activities. Now let's look at moral degradation as you have started in on that path which was going to dovetail nicely and I think did so with my analysim on crime.

Russ: excellent.

Tia: okay, moral degradation. Okay, there is the opulent moralistic behavior of that once was classified as to helping. They've now reached to the point of condescension. You can't take care of yourself so we're going to take care of you. That is moral misbehavior number one, the fact that we can take care of you better than you can take care of yourself or your offspring. Let us support you, let us take care of you, let us do all the worrying. Which makes people behave very meekly because they think that they're incompetent to take care of themselves. On the other side of that is the racism which is making a comeback believe it or not.

Russ: oh I do believe it after last night.

Tia: and it's not just white people.

Russ: oh I know.

Tia: it is as much other ethnic black groups, Oriental groups and others and the ethnic derision within your country. Now, being a melting pot is great, there is many, many positive factors. Cultural, genetic, ethnic backgrounds and so on, it's wonderful. But, also there are people that see these ethnic groups as an opportunity for a power base and in doing so they use whatever moral system or lack of moral system works such as the mad clown group.

Russ: yeah.

Tia: these people capitalize on an agenda. Now on the surface, this racist behavior is very scattered and sporadic and unfocused. Now the thing is to look behind the scenes. Who is actually funding, who is actually giving these people ideas, who is giving these people help? Those are the people that are to be looked at. Now, recent research has indicated that certain musical groups are being funded by supposedly very well-behaved organizations.

Russ: well here's a kick for you.

Tia: no hold on, I haven't quite finished.

Russ: oh.

Tia: okay, certain groups have connections internationally. These international links are helping to create disruption. These international links are giving support to various ethnic groups such as, let us look at the Church of Islam. Funding for that group is coming from places such as Libya, such as Iraq, Iran. Now, there's nothing wrong with that if they are spreading the gospel of their religion, that is fine, that is part of the melting pot but what is the other money being used for that is being funneled through these organizations? Certain individuals are a little naive in the handlings of their underlings, what they have. All's it takes is one person to be able to funnel money through organizations. The same with certain political organizations, they're doing exactly the same thing but kind of in reverse osmosis. Instead of filtering down through, it is being funneled up towards to influence. Internal ethnic groups of prestige are also doing the same thing and funneling money through organizations. Very old but not ancient organizations are doing exactly the same thing externally to an internal source. Let us take a hypothetical line, let us take the Klu Klux Klan as a center. Okay, they supply money to various ethnic, racist groups. They supply money to certain militia groups but where is the money coming from? From external groups, international external groups such as the National Socialist Movement that is scattered throughout the world which has money flowing from established bank accounts into these groups. Not just within the United States but such groups as the National Front which I believe is a British political organization, the British Movement, the German Movement, the French Movement. All these groups are having money funneled through from various international, for want of a better word, corporations or international firms that have been established for 60, 70 years that are supplying financial fiscal gain. So, so let us look at our list now. We have external market forces, crime statistics, moral degradation, racist behavior. All these groups, even though they have different agendas and different ethnic backgrounds have one common goal, the advancement of their group. What was your question hon?

Russ: well it wasn't a question but a pointing out of something is that the ICP, Insane Clown Posse, their label is actually owned by the Disney Corporation.

Tia: uh-hmm?

Russ: the Disney Corporation pulled ICP's records off the shelves when they realized what the content of the records was therefore spurring this huge demand which was then supplied and the movement grew by, it must have quadrupled at least by the fact of Disney pulling their stuff from the shelves and basically condemning them and then the records were released after all.

Tia: okay now, if Karra would kindly butt out this time with supplying you little tidbits and pointing you in right directions.

Russ: it's helping you dear.

Tia: yes I know, I know, I know. I'm just having fun with her.

Russ: oh.

Tia: okay, lastly, we have corporate naivety and corporate attacks. Not attacks from one corporation to another but organizations attacking corporations because they see them as a threat. Okay, let us take the most recent and famous one as an example and that is Microsoft and Mr. Bill Gates. Mr. Bill Gates has recently been battling with Janet Reno over Windows 95, the most used computer system in the world. In this small population here with three computers right?

Russ: uh-huh.

Tia: it only makes up 66% of the computers used. So worldwide it would more be about 70% of all computers used which isn't a monopoly, a monopoly is when it is 100%. However, the fact that Mr. Bill Gates has become probably the richest person in the world has now created worry and concern that this gentleman may have political aspirations and whatever it takes to destroy him is necessary. This is wrong due to the fact that Bill Gates has no political aspirations. He is interested in making money, helping others, setting up programs where individuals are helped and helped in such a way that they are not forced to become dependent. This ties in and rounds out the conversation nicely. Now, this activity creates fear because he is making people actually independent of being supported by other groups. He is setting them up in such a way and does not want anything in return except for the fact that they can now go out and make money and buy computers and in doing so, possibly use his system, more than likely use his system......

Russ: it's a good system.

Tia: which makes him richer you see? Now the attacks launched by certain political organizations on this gentleman are designed for two reasons. One is, because they see him as a possible political threat which he is not however their activities and behaviors may actually force him to become a political figure, maybe siding with somebody like Ross Perot. Two of the richest men in the world working together with one that is eloquent, thoughtful and well behaved, does not go running around in circles in panic mode.

Russ: which one's this?

Tia: Bill Gates.

Russ: oh.

Tia: and, the other reason being the fact that he is making people independent and not dependent on handouts, taking away the power base of those certain political organizations. Okay, the floor is open.

Russ: now in a lot of ways Bill Gates is representative of the blue-collar worker.......

Tia: uh-huh.

Russ: in that he started small to become the richest man in the world.

Tia: didn't even graduate from college......

Russ: right.

Tia: don't think he even graduated from high school.

Russ: and became the richest man in the world and a lot of that was just hard work.......

Tia: uh-huh.

Russ: but more often than not I hear people anti-Bill Gates this, anti-Bill Gates that.....

Tia: uh-huh.

Russ: but just from where I sit from the computer world, he is doing a lot for the computer world.

Tia: yes he is.

Russ: how's this figure in to as how it is changing the world? Microsoft 95 has changed the world, no doubt about it.

Tia: no doubt about that at all.

Russ: so because of that.......even people who hate Bill Gates use '95.

Tia: correct.

Russ: it's the best system to work with and the most common one that most systems all operate on.

Tia: correct.

Russ: so from that, basically they have to have some kind of belief that well it's a system, we can't change the system but we can certainly work with the system to make it work.

Tia:. correct. You see Bill Gates is a very interesting individual that he started outside on the fringe and has now become the mainstream. I believe there is a joke going around that Bill Gates is final proof that the nerds have finally won?

Russ: uh-huh.

Tia: the fact that he is hated, despised, liked, admired, all sorts of things is perfectly natural and to be expected in a third dimensional way. The fact that some people fear power, some people are drawn to power, some people fear money, some people love money. Some people fear change, some people love change. I think if you were to poll everybody on your planet that had heard about Bill Gates, it would be about 50-50.

Russ: but in sixth dimensional society.....

Tia: uh-huh.

Russ: if somebody like Bill Gates did a similar thing, he'd be more like 80-20.

Tia: yeah because he is benefiting the population.

Russ: right.

Tia: and the fact that he is amassing a fortune is irrelevant.

Russ: I think it is just a side effect

Tia: yes, I don't think he deliberately planned to become the richest man in the world. I'm pretty sure that he may have dreamed of one day being wealthy enough to buy a house, maybe wealthy enough to own a few computer stores or possibly even a company. I think he had no idea on where it was going, I think he was pleasantly surprised.

Russ: I fully agree with you, he certainly acts the part of being pleasantly surprised.

Tia: yes and also I think he was very naive in what he was doing. But, having done that, he is a prime example of what can be achieved.

Russ: correct.

Tia: with certain skills, beliefs and understandings, anything can be achieved and he has proved that admirably. Somebody that didn't even finish or graduate from high school becoming the richest man in the world, what better dream, what better example for the people? Somebody that keeps themselves to themselves but yet helps and benefits other people. Windows 95, Windows 97, even though it is hot property or was, has changed the world. Any more questions?

Russ: uh-uh.

Tia: okay.

(Omal takes over)

Omal: greetings and felicitations Russ, I will have to be quick and say let us open the floor. Tia has covered things admirably and has kept within topics and specifications and has no longer had a tendency to be needed to be watched.

(he is referring the the session "Girls night out", not a session known for its serious nature)

Omal: it will be nice to see how our other watch person or watched person behaves. (Kiri) She too seems to be behaving herself. Okay, as I was saying, let us open the floor up immediately to answering question sessions.

Russ: okay, on the question side, Tia and I were working on the technology of third dimensional earth and the way it relates to the way how the earth is progressing. I would like to work on a little bit of the conscious and psychic side of the world that is a result of this.

Omal: okay and your question is?

Russ: how do the two interrelate?

Omal: well technology is certainly something that can be used. There are two sides to this, one is that technology takes away stimulus and therefore decreases spiritual growth and on the other side it increases it. Now the question is why is there the two different points of view? Well if you are sitting at a computer screen watching flickering images and manipulating keys, you are certainly missing out on a lot of stimuli from external sources, from the real world. But on the other side, you are constantly using your mind, you are constantly learning new things. You take on the characteristics of the computer world or the cyber world to constantly upgrade. Upgrading is up-learning, continually learning new things even though it is not coming from external sources. So the technology boom is beneficial and negative. Its sixth dimensional nature or behavioral patterns that it starts to create, certain moral values, certain moral behaviors, the constant drive for advancement are positives. The lacking in stimuli of external world, interaction with other people, learning other things also is important. But these factors play together. If you take both, the external and the cyber world and run them together, it stimulates you in such a way that you use the computer behavioral patterns in your normal life which in turn causes upgrading or learning, interaction, stimulation and understanding.

Russ: all right, I'd like to address that if I could.

Omal: certainly.

Russ: computer behavioral patterns. Now, for those such as myself who are laymen as far as that term goes, I wonder if you could explain that a little bit and how it relates to the human being?

Omal: okay, computer behavioral patterns. Computer behavioral patterns are the necessary drive for advancement, logical thinking, one step leads to the next logical step. Logical processes, one plus one equals two, one and zero, on and off, stimulation of the mind. The comparisons between the connections on a motherboard and the connections in the mind. The speed and thought processes of both the human brain and the computer brain. The development of both running concurrently and separately. The development of both running together. These are computer behavioral patterns, the logical analyzation of a situation, the logical outcome, the behavior of right or wrong, these are what I'm saying.

Russ: oh. Okay now for more than 30 years the world has been influenced and almost controlled by the advent of the television and its media.....I'll say mind washing but it's a rather strong term for what is actually taking place.

Omal: 40 years actually.

Russ: 40 years. Now we have the Internet, we have computers, we have a trend that is looking at blending television, the Internet, phones and so on into one mainstream form of communication, learning and interaction.

Omal: uh-huh.

Russ: now would you see that then as then we are progressing from a point that we maybe got to and were stagnant at?

Omal: no, for the simple reason that as the popular medium of the last 30, the last 40 years....you have me at it now......has been advancing steadily and slowly from flickering tubes in black and white to color tubes flickering to crystal-clear pictures to the computer to integration of the computer, the communication medium and wired communication.......telephones all funneling together at the same time. A gentleman, Mr. Babbage, developed the first computer back in the '30's at about the same time that your television came into being. They have grown together, refined and developed more rapidly. As one progressed the other progressed. In '79, development and research led to the development of the microchip which went into digital watches, televisions, telephones, computers. Computers at that point were large clunky objects. Certainly they had modems, certainly they were plugged into networks but very primitive networks, much like primitive transmission stations for projecting pictures and images. Now they use fiber-optic cable for transmission of picture and images that are no longer being transmitted into the atmosphere in such large quantities. The computers are now linked into very professional, but still needing refinement, networks. So the development of both has been at an accelerated rate which is compatible, they have run parallel courses. Where do they go next? Next question.

Russ: okay, one of the things I've been working with with a friend of mine is the future of the world and where it's going to next.

Omal: uh-huh.

Russ: my comment as we've discussed before is that there have been many civilizations on this planet.

Omal: uh-huh.

Russ: there are none of those civilizations still here but their remnants and the memories of those are very much with us to this day.

Omal: to use an interesting quote, it is sometimes wondering with the rise and fall of so many civilizations that if your planet could speak, would it be something akin to being seasick or time sick?

Russ: (chuckles) quite correct. One of the points I made is in 50 years, someone's going to say "remember when there used to be things like ATM's?"

Omal: uh-huh.

Russ: my question is then, how close are we to actually that particular scenario?

Omal: closer than you would imagine. Okay, let us look at something.

Russ: okay.

Omal: okay, now you'll notice that I am rolling up the sleeve.

Russ: yes.

(rolls up Mark's left sleeve)

Omal: okay this, what is this?

Russ: digital watch.

Omal: what is inside it?

Russ: a crystal that controls the amount of time that passes for every second.

Omal: which is controlled by what?

Russ: a electrical.....

Omal: controlled by?

Russ: a battery.

Omal: and also in here is?

Russ: another microchip?

Omal: correct. Within this, the microchip and this system, there is the potential for this to be as powerful as that on your lap (a laptop) and to do far more. This, with a simple wire or a simple adapter if I place it back on the wrist and demonstrate, two little plugs attached to where these buttons or either side of them, a little clip in, you are now connected to the Internet. A few buttons here using these, very little change. You can talk to your watch which in turn takes the vocalizations into a computer that you have relayed to. With certain signatures that are run throughout everybody, your body, the host body, the person that will be reading this, the person that will be listening to this, their bodies have certain signatures that are for them only. Certain heat, certain vibrations, certain genetic material. You plug in, you are now connected to the World Wide Web from a terminal. "I am at a requisition place for produce, I am purchasing a supply of food. The quantity is 29 dollars and 20 cents. I authorize this." Or, the computer that you have just plugged into tells your computer that you have these items, it then asks you is this okay? You okay it, the information is transferred from the computer you have plugged into, into your bank computer, your bank computer tells the computer that you have A, enough money B, not enough money. You have now purchased a supply of food and all's you have done is just plugged it in and said the word okay or hit a button that says yes or no. That is closer than you think. A card this size (holds up a business card) could quite possibly have as much information stored on it as you wish. Within the next 20 to 30 years, personalized cards that are as powerful as your laptop will be available. Not the cards themselves being that powerful but what they can access. And they will be very cheap, they will be able to access your bank account, your medical records, they will have your medical records on them. They will have your personal finances on there. They will have your police record, they will have your Social Security record, they will have your history of your occupations and so on. These are very close, 20 to 30 years into the future they will start to become common. With liquid crystals you could actually put a small monitor in there and be able to communicate much like a telephone. Yes?

Russ: at Comdex, (a computer expo) I saw screens the size of my watch face.

Omal: correct.

Russ: okay last question.

Omal: okay.

Russ: how is it that we're actually going to have time to do all this if Tia's predictions or scenarios are coming true?

Omal: ahhhh....I'm glad you brought that up. Okay, what we are doing is we're focusing on the sunny side. We are focusing on the necessary drive for technological advancement. On the negative side, certainly some of these if not all of these things will happen but with the alternative side, we have looked only at the sunny side. What is the negative side? How does the negative side come into play in this? What can these things do? How can they interact? How can they be used for control? How can they be misused? How can they be subverted? What harm can they do?

Russ: hmmm......thank you Omal.

Omal: you're welcome. Live long, prosper and I'll be back.

(Tia takes over)

(Tia says hi in Durondedunn)

Russ: hey babe.

Tia: hey, brought up some very interesting factors there didn't he?

Russ: stuff you've probably been watching for a while.

Tia: uh-huh...sorry?

Russ: stuff I'm sure you've been watching.

Tia: oh yes.

Russ: interesting though watching the Comdex?

Tia: uh-huh.

Russ: like I say, I saw screens, computer screens the size of my watch face.

Tia: uh-huh.

Russ: f
ive or six of them all playing the same exact picture.

Tia: uh-huh.

Russ: it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen.

Tia: it is?

Russ: yeah, pretty amazing.

Tia: I had one like that when I lived on my home planet. It was an antique, it was given to me by my grandmother.

Russ: yes but your race is already reaching the stars, aren't they?

Tia: uh huh, we've inhabited sister worlds.

Russ: right, I would hope that you had these things.

Tia: uh huh. Can't get his ears to stay like mine..oh well. Okay.........

Russ: interesting.

Tia: uh-huh.

(says goodbye in Durondedunn)

Russ: bye love.

(Karra takes over)

Karra: hello.

Russ: hello my love.

Karra: hello.

Russ: how are you this evening?

Karra: I am doing well.

Russ: merry Christmas.

Karra: merry Christmas to you too hon. Okay, first of all, it's an honor and a pleasure to be able to talk to you from the back garden.

Russ: hmmm.

(previous sessions had been held in the official channeling rooms on the base but had once been in the back garden)

Karra: uh-huh. Apart from the inquisitive, prying eyes that should be according to our wonderful hostess, be getting ready to sleep........I will be back.

Russ: okay

(Tia takes over again)

(Tia says hi in Durondedunn)

Tia: I don't know why she wants to do this, she suggested......

Russ: uh-huh.

Tia: let us do it without haste......okay........

(The Cubs enter the channeling field)

One of the Cubs: Uncle Russ, hi.

Russ: hi Cubs.

The Cub again: Christmas, merry.

Russ: Merry Christmas to you too.

Another one of the Cubs: Christmas, Russ...merry....thank you.

Russ: bye bye.

Another one of the Cubs: Chris...Chris....merry Christmas.

Russ: merry Christmas.

The Cub again: Uncle Russ....hugs, hugs, hugs.

Russ: (laughing) and kisses.

(the Cub says goodbye in Durondedunn)

(Tia returns)

(Tia says hi in Durondedunn)

Russ: hi Tia, that was adorable.

(Karra takes over again)

Karra: okay.

Russ: (laughing some more)

Karra: there was a logic to what I did.

Russ: of course there was darling.

Karra: which was?

Russ: to get them off to bed, stop their inquisitiveness, get them all off to bed.

Karra: correct and it worked. Okay.....

Russ: that was adorable though.

Karra: yes.

Russ: Uncle Russ, I love that.

Karra: yes, it was entertaining. Three little Cubs in their romper suits hopping in and saying hello.

Russ: that was the first time they've channeled, unless you just count little meows here and there.

Karra: yes. It still amazes me that they will say what they are going to say in two languages.

Russ: I can't wait to tell Mark.

Karra: they preface themselves......I believe Mark is aware of the fact that they kept on running in and out and he was having problems controlling them tonight. But they will state a whole sentence, this is what Tia's told me, they will say hello.......let's take what they just said.

Russ: okay.

Karra: they said hello, hi uncle Russ, Merry Christmas and they said that in their native language and English. Obviously Durondedunn and English. So when they did the meow, I'm not even going to try to pronounce some of the words because I know I will seriously dishonor the language but their greetings, their understanding and their comprehensions. Okay, let us look at something that has interested me for a little while. Something that I have thought about, something that your race is very fascinated with. How to rejuvenate the body......

Russ: uh-huh.

Karra: how to keep yourself looking younger. Well rejuvenating the body with your current medical technology is impossible. Certainly plastic surgery can help to maintain you looking young but to extend your life is almost impossible at this time. So, how do you live longer without rejuvenation technology and capabilities? Well it's very simple, very simple. One is eating healthy, two is being active, three and something that until recently I did not fully appreciate, is learning something.......

SIDE ONE ENDS

SIDE TWO

(Karra picks up from where she left off)

Karra: ........not just once in a while but something new every day. This piece of information was given to me by a roundabout source and I will pay credit where credit is due. Tia handed me report of a comment made by Mark. Mark apparently was in a meeting and was asked what was his goal in life and his comment was to learn one thing new every day, to learn one new thing every day. Now how does learning one thing new every day keep you young? Well it depends on what that new thing is. Now certainly Mark has his health problems but his mental faculties are as sharp as they've ever been due to the fact that by learning one thing new every day stimulates certain chemicals within the mind which in turn keeps the mind sharp. Another way to put it is the mind does what Russ?

Russ: it grows younger.

Karra: not quite. How do you keep muscle in good shape?

Russ: exercise.

Karra: correct. So, you do mental calisthenics which keeps the mind looking young. Now, getting back to the muscles, when the muscles are worked out every day what happens?

Russ: they stay strong.

Karra: and in staying strong?

Russ: they grow.

Karra: and in growing?

Russ: they maintain their youthful health.

Karra: okay, now something that you may not have noticed this year is let's take the early part of the year, in fact from January to March. From January to March of this year you had four colds. Let us take from October to now, how many colds have you had?

Russ: none, one maybe.

Karra: and that wasn't very serious.

Russ: no.

Karra: why? Okay let's look at it this way, this time last year, you had a sore throat, you'd been to the doctor, you were taking antibiotics.

Russ: I was?

Karra: yes you had a cold this time last year.

Russ: oh okay, you know me better than I do obviously.

Karra: you were drinking vast quantities of orange juice as well.

Russ: yeah.

Karra: now, looking at now, you have only had maybe a cold.....

Russ: right.

Karra: you haven't taken any antibiotics........

Russ: no.

Karra: you're feeling pretty fit and healthy.

Russ: I drink a lot of orange juice there at that one point where I had that sore throat.

Karra: uh-huh. Okay why?

Russ: I didn't want to bring on anything.

Karra: no. Why have you, compared to last year, been healthier?

Russ: kind of attribute it to those vitamins I'm taking now?

Karra: you've only been taking those for what, two weeks now?

Russ: more or less.

Karra: uh-huh, it's still early to say what effect they're having.

Russ: hmm.

Karra: three months down the road you may be able to say something.

Russ: well I haven't been doing any exercise really to speak of, in fact if anything, I've been a lazy slob.

Karra: you have not done any fencing recently?

Russ: in the summer, right

Karra: uh-hmm, a lot this summer correct?

Russ: yeah.

Karra: you have not been keeping your mind active?

Russ: oh very active.

Karra: uh-hmm, have you not been eating well?

Russ: yeah pretty good.

Karra: okay, so what does this tell us?

Russ: well my regimen's been better.

Karra: correct. You are, eating healthier, you are exercising, you are keeping your mind exercising.

Russ: so this would explain that strange purchase I made from a television show wouldn't it?

(an elliptical machine I was "inspired" to purchase while watching an infomercial)

Karra: uh- huh.

(Russ breaks out in laughter)

Karra: okay, now where were we? Oh yes.

Russ: exercise, mental discipline.......

Karra: uh-huh.

Russ: and a good diet.

Karra: correct. So, now let us look at the worst offender for abusing his health. (Mark) Okay, has he suffered any illness other than his intestinal discomfiture?

Russ: no, he hasn't been off work or anything.

Karra: uh-huh. Has he had any colds?

Russ: yeah, a little bit but........

Karra: minor ones.

Russ: nothing that has kept him from work.

Karra: last year if my memory serves me correct, they sent him home early on a Friday and a Monday because he was ill.

Russ: he was pretty bad last year.

Karra: hm-hmm.

Russ: yeah, fencing. Well you remember the summer before that all we were doing was racing boats.

(radio controlled sailboats)

Karra: correct, sitting down, racing boats.

Russ: very sedentary exercise to say the least.

Karra: but it was good for the mind, it was good for relaxing.

Russ: true, I think fencing relaxes him more than the boat racing does though.

Karra: yes I think it does too. But, let us look let us look at last year and this year. The big difference is in the increase in activity.

Russ: uh-huh.

Karra: now with eating healthy, as he's been forced to do although of late he seems to be neglecting it a little bit but that is understandable due to the fact that he is working hard.

Russ: right.

Karra: eating healthy, learning new skills, computer skills, work skills, management skills, learning to adjust his management techniques. Teaching, which is exercising the mind because he has to learn how to teach. Exercise itself, intense exercise, even though it is maybe twice, three times a week is certainly very useful and beneficial. So what is happening to your bodies? They're taking on the tone and fitness of being healthy and in doing so with the muscles tightening up and the skin tightening up, the wrinkles that were starting to appear here and there are disappearing. When wrinkles disappear what happens? Skin looks younger, you can't do anything about his loss of hair.

Russ: how can wrinkles disappear?

Karra: because the skin becomes tighter.

Russ: why?

Karra: because the muscles are growing.

Russ: oh.

Karra: because the exercise is replacing the cells.

Russ: oh.

Karra: because the exercise is strengthening the cells and in doing so, strengthens the immune system.

Russ: understandable.

Karra: so you see, what is actually happening to the bodies?

Russ: they are staying healthy.

Karra: hmm-hmm and they're self-rejuvenating a little bit.

Russ: hmm.

Karra: it's not going to extend the life expectancy much but the bodies are rejuvenating themselves. The bodies are becoming strong.

Russ: well a lot of the growing of old and the elderly is the problems that come around with the lack of exercise, lack of mental and diet that lead to more problems earlier in some people and later in others.

Karra: correct.

Russ: so this keeps the bodies, while the life expectancy might be the same, there won't be as many problems later on.

Karra: correct. Now let us take some older people, let us take somebody that Mark's very fond of and looks up to, his grandfather. 86 years old, I think that's pretty respectable for a third dimensional male correct?

Russ: oh yeah, very respectable.

Karra: uh-huh. Until recently from what Tia has said, his grandfather was very mentally active, ate reasonably healthy and exercised regularly.

Russ: he stopped?

Karra: well due to ill health.

Russ: oh.

Karra: so let us take this individual and his exercise regimens, walking 5 miles a day, working, lugging heavy objects around, keeping his muscles in tone. Certainly it appears to be that he suffered greatly in his youth in a motorcycle accident but yet that did not stop him from maintaining a healthy, vigorous life. Let us look at some other factors. Well much like his grandson, he did smoke. His grandson still smokes, probably smoked heavier than his grandson. So, does cigarettes increase the cancer rate? Yes it does, without a shadow of a doubt, it is very harmful and very negative but there are some beneficial factors which we covered last week I believe, or last channeling session.

Russ: correct.

Karra: but, certain people it does not appears to affect as much due to the fact, or any dangerous activity cannot be said to be totally beneficial as long as certain things are followed. Eating healthy, exercise and mentally active. These three things should be the foundation for longevity. You can drink in moderation, you can smoke in moderation, you can eat fats in moderation as long as you follow the three main areas. Mental activity, physical activity and eating healthy most of the time. After all, I will even admit I do enjoy foods that are very bad for me from time to time. High, rich foods I absolutely love. Much like that salmon pâté I made the other day, very bad for you. Okay I admit I did not make it totally myself. Okay hon, you have any questions?

Russ: indeed. I've learned a lot about what causes the cancer, at least on third dimension, I don't know if it holds true on sixth dimension and the fact that a lack of oxidization in the cells leads to a lower ability to fight off the cancer and the free radicals which will attach to cells that are lacking electrons or molecules lacking electrons.

Karra: that's correct.

Russ: now is the work that you were discussing with the diet, the exercise and the mental strength help to increase those cancer fighting elements?

Karra: yes, yes due to the fact and oxidization in the blood, cell capacity to carry oxygen, that's an interesting field in itself that we can go into and there is a lot of common misconceptions. We will hold that one for a later discussion.

Russ: okay.

Karra: and that will be an interesting discussion because there are quite a few common misconceptions that you have, very common misconceptions and very common throughout your population. But yes, by making the cells healthy, by being active, eating well and keeping mentally active, certainly increases the capability to fight off cell degradation and weakness which opens up to free radicals.

Russ: the free radicals are brought upon by cigarette smoking maybe?

Karra: there are lots of different factors.

Russ: oh there are?

Karra: lots of different factors. Such as being exposed to radioactive materials, such as smoking harmful chemicals, such as living where there is a high concentration of certain chemicals. There are many, many different causes for cancer. Genetic problems, inbreeding, outbreeding, introducing of incompatible genes, all sorts of various problems, all sorts of possible potentials for cancer.

Russ: hmm, okay, that helps a lot.

Karra: certainly, next question.

Russ: in treating these particular items, side effects of this, depression........

Karra: uh-hmm.

Russ: things like that where chemicals are used currently to fight those things, what can be used as a fighting method for a more psychic level?

Karra: certainly the three that I have stated also help. For example, you and Mark have normal fluctuations in moods however, there are times where depression is part of the cycle. Have you been depressed recently since you have become more active?

Russ: not at all.

Karra: no except for that minor little bump.

Russ: nothing major.

Karra: nothing major. Okay, what does that tell you?

Russ: tells me that......well, a lot of it is getting more exercise but also the mental challenges facing me now are greater and more satisfying.

Karra: correct. So, mental activity, physical activity and eating healthy does, let's go through them.

Russ: rejuvenates.

Karra: it rejuvenates the body.....

Russ: uh-huh.

Karra: it keeps your life expectancy increased.....

Russ: uh-hmm.

Karra: it keeps you emotionally controlled.

Russ: uh-huh, fights disease.

Karra: fights disease.

Russ: and helps maintain a positive state of mind for dealing with problems.

Karra: correct, correct. So, these mental activities, these physical activities, these eating activities are what?

Russ: third dimensional rejuvenation techniques.

Karra: correct. They're not the ultimate rejuvenation techniques but they will help to keep your body looking younger. In essence, it is not reversing, but stopping or slowing down the acceleration of degradation of the cells. So you could say that yes it is rejuvenation because the muscles tighten up and you do look younger but it is not true rejuvenation.

Russ: right.

Karra: if we labeled the topic rejuvenation, it would not be correct.

Russ: correct.

Karra: what we could label it as is, staying younger, looking younger.

Russ: okay.

Karra: next question?

Russ: that's all I've got darling. I got a page here I've to deal with so I'm going to cut this a little bit shorter than I would of liked.

(a call on a pager had just been received)

Karra: okay should we pause the tape or do you have to depart?

Russ: I'll pause the tape, I won't know if I'm going to have to depart till...........

(Tia takes over)

Russ: hi Tia.

(Tia says hi in Durondedunn)

Russ: about half of the backside left, a little more.

Tia: okay, well I thought that was a good idea of Lady Karra's, now that they're all settled down and everything and are all snuggled up.

Russ: they just wanted to say good night and Merry Christmas?

Tia: uh huh, pretty much so.

Russ: I'm going to get some tea my love.

Tia: okay.

(after my return Tia says goodbye in Durondedunn and then we embark on my trying to sound out saying goodbye in Durondedunn)

(Kiri takes over)

Russ: I think I'll have Sirian figured it out before I'll have Durondedunn figured out Kiri.

Kiri: yeah I think you'd be right there dude.

Russ: that would be an easy language to learn my love.

Kiri: yes it is very easy as opposed to Durondedunn which is inflections, tones, eye movements and facial movements.

Russ: pass. I think there's a bit of purring in there too somewhere.

Kiri: sorry?

Russ: I think there's a bit of purring in there somewhere too.

Kiri: from what Tia said that purring is a natural reflex when she is contented.

Russ: there is no vocalization there?

Kiri: I think there is a little but Tia says that purring is very different from the in the throat activity.

Russ: oh, okay.

Kiri: uh-hm. Yes I noticed Tia does purr when she is sexually active.

Russ: I haven't noticed that actually.

Kiri: or when she's very, very happy. You haven't noticed that?

Russ: we haven't been sexually active dear.

Kiri: yes I know and stop blushing.

Russ: I just have to take your word for it.

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: so how are you my dear? Thank you again, as I told Tia for being a wonderful hostess.

(for a function I attended on the base)

Kiri: you're welcome.

Russ: lovely bottle of wine.

Kiri: of course, I only have the finest taste.

Russ: yeah of course. And so what are we going to talk about this evening my love?

Kiri: I don't know, I don't have any topics due the fact that the only topic that I had doesn't appear to be necessary anymore.

Russ: really? I got this thing here that says Kiri's dissertation.

Kiri: no, it's Kiri's teaching program that was tailor-made if you remember.

(a friend of a friend of Mark's who would no longer need it)

Russ: yeah right and it doesn't seem to be necessary anymore.

Kiri: no.

Russ: what a shame.

Kiri: pity, pity.

Russ: well we might have some use for it though very soon.

Kiri: yes but it will have to be rearranged and tailor-made for that individual.

Russ: well, no worries.

Kiri: if she is interested

(speaking of another friend and occasional guest)

Russ: and that is a hopeful thing

Kiri: yes. First of all I need more background, I need to know what her goals and objectives are and is she capable of coercion because remember, everybody is not capable.

Russ: I know, she's more of a healer.

Kiri: uh-hmm. So, we've got free chitchat time.

Russ: all right dear, we've got a lot of free chitchat time actually.

Kiri: uh-hmm.

Russ: couple things actually, working on things that with your dad and Gonzo.

(her dad is about to be installed as the President of Sirius and Gonzo is his bondmate. Gonzo is a nickname she is called in the family)

Kiri: oh talking of which......

Russ: uh-huh.

Kiri: I had my outfit approved, dad approved it.

Russ: dad doesn't want a fight if dad wants it.

Kiri: no, because it has padding inside the front.

Russ: oh you didn't tell me that.

Kiri: you didn't ask.

Russ: mental pictures.

Kiri: do you think I would have given you that satisfaction?

Russ: yes.

Kiri: no.

Russ: yes.

Kiri: no.

Russ: doesn't mean it doesn't make me give you a good laugh. Anyway......

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: January 20th if I remember right?

Kiri: correct.

Russ: we're set and I'll be there.

Kiri: uh huh and we have a guest coming back with us, coming back to stay at the apartment.

Russ: right, Huna?

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: if I remember right.

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: I'm trying to remember that conversation we had.

Kiri: (starts singing from the "Lion King") Huna, Matada, Huna Matada......

Russ: good, I am looking forward to it. Still trying to figure out what I'm going to wear yet.

Kiri: I'll figure out something for you, maybe skintight, Lycra type outfit with.....

Russ: nevermind, I'll figure out something. So how's life treating you other than that?

Kiri: actually what I was thinking was something like maybe a dark green trousers right? Dark green high jacket, high collar on it with a white shirt underneath right? And a cravat, very formal. Or there is the other option that I had, a pair of dark blue trousers with riding boots right? And a tail, a jacket with tails.

Russ: what color is the jacket?

Kiri: jacket would also probably be dark green, which would match the dark blue trousers. No, no, let me finish.

Russ: alright.

Kiri: okay, with a low, wide collar as opposed to the high collar okay? And it's not that color green either, it's darker. Okay, almost an emerald green okay? With a light, pale blue shirt right?

Russ: I'll be in the reception line okay?

Kiri no, you won't be in the reception line, you will be in the line that comes in. We will all be in the line that comes in.

Russ: yeah, well that's the reception line.

Kiri no, the reception line is the people........that's the receiving line, there is no reception line.

Russ: oh it's the receiving line.

Kiri: the receiving line will be the outgoing president, his wife, the incoming president, Gonzo and then the administrators and the civil servants. The high administrators and civil servants, I think there's like three of each.

Russ: oh, so we're not standing in line shaking hands. We're actually....

Kiri: moving down the line.

Russ: were moving down the line?

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: all right. Can't we make the jacket dark blue?

Kiri: no.

Russ: why not? The shirt's light blue and the pants are dark blue, why can't the jacket be dark blue?

Kiri: for the simple reason that it won't have quite the same affect you see.

Russ: is this a Sirian thing?

Kiri: uh huh. The other option was white......

Russ: I'll have to take your word on Sirian stuff so....

Kiri: yeah, the other option was white pants, riding pants right? With the boots. Riding boots actually go very nice with it. With the lighter green jacket right? With the tails and a top hat and a cravat.

Russ: I'll stay with the second choice then.

Kiri: uh-huh, that is my idea.

Russ: all right so the light blue shirt over a low collared jacket, has the shirt got ruffles in it?

Kiri: no.

Russ: well is it just a button up?

Kiri: well you have a tie.

Russ: buttoned all the way to the top.

Kiri: you have to wear the tie.

Russ: what color is the tie?

Kiri: your choice. Can't be a solid color though.

Russ: what do you mean it can't be a solid color?

Kiri: can't be black, white, green, it has to be black or white, red or white, yellow or white or any combination of colors.

Russ: you mean red and white?

Kiri: red and white.

Russ: how about blue and green?

Kiri: if that doesn't clash and Karra agrees.

Russ: okay. Well we'll have to do it on the computer and see what it looks like.

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: and riding boots and a cravat. Cravat? No, no cravat.

Kiri: no cravat. You can wear a cravat in replacement of the tie.

Russ: what's a cravat again?

Kiri: it's kind of like a man's type scarf.

Russ: oh right, right, right. And it's a bow-tie or a tie?

Kiri: yeah a tie, no bow-ties, bow-ties are looked upon as crass.

Russ: oh so it's a tie?

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: hmm, a lot can be done with ties.

Kiri: oh yes.

Russ: God, this must be a Sirian thing.

Kiri: oh it's very formal, very, very formal. Do we have a cat doing vertical takeoffs?  Defeating the laws of physics again.

(a cat in the channeling room was jumping at something)

Russ: all right, I'll tell you what love, here we go. See that picture?

(holds up a drawing)

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: can we do a tie like that?

Kiri: possibly yes.

Russ: you know, in an ocean format.

Kiri: kind of an oceany type look?

Russ:yeah, right.

Kiri: uh-huh. Actually I was thinking probably a dark blue might look a little better and more dramatic.

Russ: I like it, I like that.

Kiri: more like that kind of blue.

Russ: ohhh, very nice.

Kiri: uh-huh, because the jacket will be more that color right?

Russ: yeah.

Kiri: and with the pale blue shirt right? I'm looking for a pale blue. Okay so your shirt will be that color and then with the tie being that dark blue right? With the jacket being that dark green, now you understand.

Russ: okay I see and what color is the pants?

Kiri: well we were going to do them a dark blue as well to match with the jacket or we can do them in white.

Russ: what kind of blues we have around here that match?

Kiri: match them.

Russ: match them up.

Kiri: it is a really dark blue, almost a cobalt blue.

Russ: okay I can work with that. Any hat?

Kiri: if you want to wear a hat but it's either......

Russ: I mean I don't know what the customs are.

Kiri: hats are unimportant. Besides, you take them off when you're inside.

Russ: no I'll just do without. Because then I have to have a cane?

Kiri: not necessarily but gloves will do if you're wearing a big hat, a top hat, then gloves would be necessary that would have to match your trousers.

Russ: I'm just not a glove kind of guy. All right.....

Kiri: I'm wearing white gloves that come up to here.

(points to a spot on her upper arm)

Russ: no I like the idea you've got, that's a good idea.

Kiri: my stockings will also match the color but you won't see my stockings.

Russ: I wonder if I can get my sapphire to go in astral form. Get a sapphire earring?

Kiri: no, I wouldn't recommend it. If you want a sapphire tie pin, we can do that.

Russ: ohh, that'd be nice.

Kiri: uh-huh, I know that Mark's dress uniform he's going to be wearing.

Russ: hmm, so a sapphire look on that.

Kiri:uh-huh.

Russ: ohh I like that look.

Kiri: yeah, Mark's wearing his dress uniform right? And what we're doing is, if it's okay with him, we need to ask him, we are going to put his coat of arms on the sleeve instead of his regiment flash.

Russ: he'll approve.

Kiri: I don't know, Mark can be a stickler for form sometimes.

Russ: I like that idea, I think that's going to be a real nice outfit.

Kiri: yeah.

Russ: there's dancing I'm hoping I can stay long enough for.

Kiri: well the reason why the outfits are designed like they are is that you don't have to go to somewhere to change because they are easy to move in.

Russ: right, well see I was trying to practice at your place was maintaining form.......

Kiri: yeah I noticed that.

Russ: and length. That's why I'm working on duration.

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: very difficult, God I couldn't get through that glass of wine. Maybe I should've held off on the wine.

Kiri: yes, I think it might be best. Now etiquette, as I have attended a few formal functions and I have behaved myself at them despite popular myths and legends. There are probably an equal number that I have misbehaved.......

Russ: they're just stories someone told once. Come on...don't....

Kiri: there are probably an equal number of the ones that I have misbehaved at than behaved at. Now it is quite acceptable not to drink.

Russ: oh, okay.

Kiri: now polite behavior is if everybody's drinking you drink however there is a little trick I will demonstrate.

(takes a sip from a tea cup in front of Mark but doesn't drink).

Russ: you didn't actually drink.

Kiri: correct.

Russ: right.

Kiri: got it on my lips, it looks like I drunk but I didn't, got it on Mark's lips.

Russ: well  I'll work on that then because I think the alcohol definitely throws me off every time I drink that stuff in astral form.

Kiri: correct, probably does.

Russ: hits me harder.

Kiri: uh-huh, well there is less of you to resist against the alcoholic content. Okay, now something that is very important, if you are drinking let us say this is a wine glass, finger.

Russ: oh finger out?

Kiri: as with drinking tea. You've seen Mark do that correct? I don't know if it's a similarity that has hung over but the finger is very important.

Russ: Sirian custom and a British custom?

Kiri: uh huh.

Russ: it's probably hung over.

Kiri: the nod.

Russ: the nod?

Kiri: yes there is a nod.

Russ: is this in deference to people of higher rank?

Kiri: correct. For example, if you take somebody's hand to shake it right? You can't go, "How are you?" Which seems to be quite popular and common on your planet. It is you with one hand out straight, curve the finger,"How are you?" The hand stays perfectly still. If the person of higher station, let us say you are shaking hands with the president right? The outgoing president, he will not nod to you. He will not tip his head. And it is just the tip of the head. It is because you are paying him respect.

Russ: right.

Kiri: i
f you meet somebody of equal rank, you do not nod. If you meet somebody of lower rank, you can nod if you are paying them respect. Let us say you are the ambassador as opposed to big sis right? And you are meeting Tia.....little trick there, didn't actually touch her okay? And you shake hands. Take her hand, so you are like this right?

(demonstrates)

Russ: uh-huh.

Kiri: and she would nod to you right? And out of respect for her for her achievements, if you wish, you could nod back and it would be equal. Equal to equal as opposed to some of your cultures on your planet where the higher you are the less you bow. So that if you are bowing to let us say an ambassador as you, you would have to bow quite low. If you were bowing to a president of a nation, you would be almost bending in half.

Russ: well true.

Kiri: here, it is just a head nod and it is equal to equal. For example....

Russ: since everyone is of higher station than I am, it won't be very tough to figure out.

Kiri: uh-huh. Just do what I do okay? Just follow Karra's lead as well.

Russ: all right, well Karra is the ambassador so she's going to be doing it differently.

Kiri: (laughs) ambassadors appear to be about the lowest on the list.

Russ: oh really? For some reason I had a different impression.

Kiri: oh, it's ambassadors and up. Ambassadors, presidents of other planets, members of Councils, which are above ambassadors in the social structure.

Russ: what about base commanders?

Kiri: those would be the equivalent of presidents of other worlds. Which it goes, the outgoing, the incoming presidents of Sirius, presidents of other worlds, Senators, Council members, ambassadors and family members.

Russ: oh, I knew we were in there somewhere.

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: are the kids coming?

Kiri: no.

Russ: they'll be coming to Sirius?

Kiri: correct.

Russ: but they won't be going to the actual ball.

Kiri: you think that we would we would have the hooligans running around?

Russ: even on their best behavior they'd still be running around.

Kiri: correct, it would be reminiscent of certain people being found naked in a swimming pool with other people.

(referring to an instance on Sirius she had described in an earlier session)

Russ: yes well I can't imagine anybody would do that actually, but if they were, I can imagine it would be frowned upon.

Kiri: yes, very frowned upon, especially at an inaugural party and function.

Russ: yeah well you got bored, what can you say?

Kiri: hell, I was a teenager.

Russ: I know.

Kiri: teenagers always get bored.

Russ: I heard the whole story backwards and forwards.

Kiri: uh huh, besides, my headlights were constantly on there.

Russ: well your dad's probably just worried that you'll repeat such incidences.

Kiri: I'm 58 hon. I'm not a child anymore.

Russ: I didn't say you were dear. You've got 942 years to go more or less.

Kiri: I've already had this conversation with my father, "I am not a child anymore"

Russ: I can imagine you had this conversation.

Kiri: and his comment was, "Sweetie pie, you will always be a child in my eyes. You'll always be my little girl " And it's sort of like, "thank you dad, but I am fully mature, I have two wonderful children, I have two bond mates, I am quite happy thank you."

Russ: well your dad's probably a little nervous.

Kiri: uh-huh. Besides, I've seen the guest list and there's nobody on there that I've had an affair with.

Russ: well that's encouraging.

Kiri: there's nobody I've been in compromising positions with either or one night stands.

Russ: well you been off that planet for a while now.

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: it might be a different situation completely.

Kiri: I don't think so, I've never enjoyed moving in those social circles.

Russ: well that's true.

Kiri: maybe their daughters I would of had affairs with.

Russ: well luckily your life is taking you in the correct path that you needed to live, excellent. How's work been?

Kiri: I have quieted things down a little.

Russ: have you?

Kiri: uh-huh. I mean this is how big and formal it's going to be. Leah's family, the Tenuvial family, has been invited.

Russ: really?

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: why? Not that I don't mind, but I just....

Kiri: uh huh, well actually Leah's mother and father have been invited.

Russ: what connection does the Tenuvial family have with the Tanaka family?

Kiri: they are senators, or he is a senator.

Russ: so Huna and Leah are going to be there?

Kiri: they haven't been invited, it doesn't quite work that way.

Russ: oh.

Kiri: when you send out an invite to Senator Tenuvial and his bond mate, you can't bring guests.

Russ: oh.

Kiri: when I received my invite, it was for Kiri Tanaka. When Tia received her invite, it was for Tia Taal. When Mark received his, it was for Sgt. Crocker retired.

Russ: I don't know what mine said.

Kiri: yours was addressed to ambassador and her bond mate and you were mentioned by name. You see they're very specific and they have to be. Now the thing is it wasn't sent by your father-in-law, my father. These are invites as a courtesy to him from the outgoing president.

Russ: oh really?

Kiri: that's the way that it's done. When he retires from the president's office, he will send out a list as a farewell and as respect for...

Russ: the incoming president.

Kiri: correct.

Russ: what is this gentleman's name...I mean her name, excuse me?

Kiri: the president is Lady Tryan

Russ: Tryan.

Kiri: yes, you address her as either President Tryan or Milady.

Russ: I like that.

Kiri: no it is better to use the more modern term which is President Tryan.

Russ: oh, okay. All right.

Kiri: see, I know a lot more and I behave a lot more and I keep my urges under control.

Russ: yes you do.....President Tryan.

Kiri: uh-huh.

Kiri: have you met your sister's secretary yet?

Kiri: sorry?

Kiri: have you met your sister's secretary yet?

Kiri: not yet.

Russ: Narisa?

Kiri: no, I haven't met her yet.

Russ: cute girl.

Kiri: she's new on the base correct?

Russ: uh huh, from Sirius.

Kiri: uh-huh, well where else would she be from?

Russ: of course. She's really nice.

Kiri: uh-huh.

Russ: and she loves the kids, they have so much fun with her.

Kiri: does she have a bond mate?

Russ: uh-uh.

Kiri: hmmm.

Russ: like I say, she's new on the base. Nothing yet.

Kiri: okay, we're almost out of tape as well.

Russ: yeah.

Kiri: and talking of urges, I am starting to feel them a little bit so I will hand back to Tia.

Russ: okay love.

Kiri: now I also want to......

Russ: thank you for your instruction.

Kiri: uh-huh, now one other important....very important thing. If you are with somebody that is very, very talkative that wants to talk to you and talk to you and bend your ear and to say this and say that, you can say and by putting up your hand should stop the conversation. And you can say, "at this time, I think it is not appropriate to continue his conversation" or put up your hand like this and say, "can we continue this conversation at a later time?" Which is basically ending the conversation politely and leaving it open to be continued at another time. Now normally and it is accepted behavioral patterns is, basically what you're saying is, "look you're giving me too much information, you've given me information overload, let's change the subject, let's talk about something else."

Russ: well see I have a special problem in that matter because my astral travel is based on my ability to stay mentally enthused throughout my entire trip. For me to actually maintain a corporal form, or any form whatsoever, I actually have to be involved in what I'm doing, otherwise I just go drifting off and fade off. If someone is holding me there in conversation and I start getting bored, I wake up back here going.....

Kiri: yeah, but let's say they manage to keep you focused enough but you're having sensory overload on it right, what do you do?

Russ: I'll just explain to them, "hey look it....."

Kiri: uh,uh,uh, impolite.

Russ: oh.

Kiri: hand up, "let us continue this conversation at another time."

Russ: okay.

Kiri: now what do you do?

Russ: oh, hold my hand....
