SIDE
ONE
(Ring mistress Tia gets things
started)
Russ: hi Tia.
Tia: hey Russ. Nobody here?
Russ: who'd you expect?
Tia: that cat I played with last time.
(Tia calls for the cats in Durondedunn)
Russ: maybe they forgot it was Tuesday.
Tia: well go and get them.
Russ: when they come, they're going to come.
Tia: well go and wake them up and get them down
here.
Russ: want me to?
Tia: yeah, why not?
Russ: I'll bring Calvin down anyway.
Tia:ohh, somebody to play with and chase. Somebody
to play with, somebody to play
with............................he's loving it.
Russ: he's thrilled.
Tia: so, are you up for coming over?
Russ: yeAH.
Tia: uh-huh. You won't fall asleep on me, will you?
Russ: that's what I'm drinking this tea for. Karra's
not asleep right now, is she?
Tia: no, she's going to be here in a little while.
We sent a trolley for her.
Russ: she must be tired or something. Hi Ganja.
Tia: is that his name?
Russ: that's Ganja, yeah.
(Tia says hi to Ganja in Durondedunn)
Russ: the one you were chasing last week.
Tia: oh.
Russ: he won't recognize you.
Tia: no, okay. I'm sorry I can't play.
Russ: well that's all right, that's all right.
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: okay, farsighting. How do you get out of the
body?
(Russ starts laughing)
Tia: out of whose body?
Russ: well for example, Mark gets out of the body
before he goes crashing out.
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: right? Now is he using a method of controlling
his sleep cycle to get out before he crashes out?
Tia: yeah, I think so.
Russ: typical way of getting out.
Tia: well how I do it, is I get relaxed, right?
Russ: right.
Tia: I go through the breathing routine.
Russ: right.
Tia: and then I just step up out.
Russ: okay.
Tia: occasionally, I will fall asleep but that's
normally when I'm really, really tired. Carry on.
Russ: but you don't farsight like I do?
Tia: no.
Russ: all right, so, to step out of body........
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: is there sort of a pull, that you pull
yourself out?
Tia: you just sit up and then stand up.
Russ: okay.
Tia: or if you're sitting, you stand up.
Russ: now how do you divorce yourself though? I'm
talking about you, yourself.
Tia: me?
Russ: yeah.
Tia: I go and get a lawyer and he comes and we fill
out all the paperwork and then we have a trial to
see if my body wants to be divorced from me.
Russ: who gets the house?
Tia: the body does. I get the children though.
Russ: ahh. so, How do you separate......
Tia: ohhhhh.
Russ: the mental body the physical body?
Tia: well, the further you go the less noticeable it
is.
Russ: you mean the further out you go?
Tia: yeah, uh-huh.
Russ: you mean in space?
Tia: yeah, space. Now how does that go? These are
the voyages of the starship....TIA!!!!!
Russ: so now when you first started then.....
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: you weren't going so far.
Tia: yeah?
Russ: so you still had sense of your physical body.
Tia: yeah.
Russ: you did?
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: okay, so this is what we were talking about
before.
Tia: yeah.
Russ: where you go out for extreme long ranges and
then you come back.
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: and that basically numbed out your body?
Tia: yeah. The more you do it the less noticeable it
is.
Russ: oh.
Tia: yeah.
Russ: so now when you were wandering around here
today in astral form, what was your body doing up
there?
Tia: it was lying on the bed with Athena with me.
Russ: now when Athena moves, you can't tell when
Athena moves.
Tia: no, but she lies very still too.
Russ: now what if she got wandering around the bed
or something, would you feel it?
Tia: I was holding her, I was instructing her how to
farsight.
Russ: oh, so she was doing it....
Tia: yeah.
Russ: now she feels her body though.
Tia: yeah. I wish I had started at an age like that.
Russ: okay. So, when she was down here with
you......
Tia: yeah.
Russ: then the energy levels were going up.
Tia: yeah.
Russ: that's why, Athena's energy levels augmented
yours.
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: so that's why it seemed like things were
bouncing all over the place?
Tia: well, I was naturally boisterous anyway.
Russ: so it's essentially practice?
Tia: yeah.
Russ: now my limit right now, I suppose it could be
called Sirius.....
Tia: yeah.
Russ: well, what's past Sirius?
Tia: well there's some dust clouds, a few planets, a
few suns.
Russ: okay. So for astral navigation purposes......
Tia: yeah.
Russ: if I head for Sirius, which I know is
.093.......
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: from Hades Base.......
Tia: yep.
Russ: to get to Sirius, what would be someplace
another, let's say four light years out from
that......?
Tia: you want to try stretching it?
Russ: it would be eight light years then.
Tia: okay. I'll tell you what, I'll come along with
you.
Russ: fair enough.
Tia: yeah.
Russ: now what's out there past Sirius?
Tia: well if you go directly from here.....
Russ: what's in line with Hades Base and Sirius?
Tia: there is a very small, insignificant sun. It's
got a few ruins on it but nothing much. You
into.....
Russ: ruins, there you go.
Tia: you into archaeology?
Russ: yeah, I like archaeology.
Tia: okay, I suppose I better bone up and find out
what sort of....
Russ: okay, so the ruins are of an ancient race...
Tia: yeah.
Russ: that you don't know what it is.
Tia: no. Doesn't really interest me that much.
Russ: quadruped or biped or....
Tia: triped or octoped.
Russ: so we can go check out those ruins and that
would be at max limit.
Tia: yeah.
Russ: good.
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: so that's why when I started going out to
Sirius......
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: I was falling asleep.
Tia: yeah, because it was at the limits of your
range.
Russ: right. But now, the last three times I've gone
to see Tanaka.....
Tia: yeah, you haven't.
Russ: I haven't crashed out.
Tia: that's right.
Russ: that is because my range is pushing, right?
Tia: yeah.
Russ: but now I'm not pushing myself out farther
than that to go past Sirius. So were I to do so now,
I can push that limit out even farther and start
pushing.....
Tia: you can try.
Russ: my limits for going solid or at least getting
out of my body more.
Tia: yeah, correct.
Russ: I see. Okay, how's dinner looking?
Tia: it's going to be ready.
Russ: well these hunts of yours certainly do jack
you up...
Tia: yeah, come on then, come on, come on, come,
come, come.
Russ: I mean it's like the adrenaline level
is........I wish it was contagious.
Tia: yeah.
Russ: yeah, definitely adrenaline overload.
Tia: for who? Come on, come on, questions,
questions.
Russ: how was the hunt?
Tia: oh, it was a bit of a workout.
Russ: a bit bloody?
Tia: ahhh....
Russ: it did get bloody.
Tia: yeah.
Russ: okay. Now.....
Tia: uh-huh?
Russ: I'm going to hold off my other questions for
you darling until later.
Tia: okay.
Russ: because you need to go bounce off some walls.
(Russ gets laughing over that)
Tia: that bad, huh?
Russ: yeah. So you go have some fun, I'll go talk to
some other folks for a while.
Tia: oh, party pooper.
Russ: you go out there and take a run around the
base once and come on back. I should be working on
the next person by then.
Tia: I'll go outside and talk to Mark and Alana.
Russ: that's a good idea.
Tia: yeah.
Russ: okay. See you in a little while.
Tia: I'll be back.
Russ: okay.
(Kiri takes over to let Tia get
back into a relaxed state)
Russ: Kiri. No?
Kiri: yes.
Russ: yes?
Kiri: yes.
Russ: hi Kiri.
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: how you doing love?
Kiri: it seems to be contagious.
Russ: I guess.
Kiri: yeah.
Russ: man, bouncing off the walls.
Kiri: did she actually jump from over there onto
here?
Russ: she actually did it.
Kiri: I didn't think Mark would have the power in
his legs to....what's that, six feet, five feet?
Russ: four feet.
Kiri: four feet? Clear onto the futon? She landed
where, there?
Russ: yeah.
Kiri: that's about six and a half feet you know.
Russ: oh yeah.
Kiri: and she jumped all of it?
Russ: yeah. How are you doing my dear?
Kiri: oh, excellent.
Russ: not quite as riled up I see.
Kiri: no.
Russ: well good.
Kiri: you're going to have fun with Tia tonight,
she's got dessert planned.
Russ: good.
Kiri: strawberry tart moose.
Russ: hmm, sounds tasty.
Kiri: uh-huh, her own concoction.
Russ: oh, so we're going to see some archaeological
ruins.
Kiri: hmm, possibly. Mark and myself are going
skiing if we can pry him away from Alana or Alana
away from Mark.
Russ: that's more like it.
Kiri: yeah. Okay.......
Russ: all right darling, we are talking interface
this evening.
Kiri: what sort of interface?
Russ: pilot interface. Now, we had to make a run all
the way out to Alpha Centauri to get these guys.
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: now you're working on the couch part of
it.....
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: and they're working on the helmet part of it,
I take it?
Kiri: yeah, uh-huh.
Russ: now they had us hook up a pair of leads into
the couch in between our legs.
Kiri: yeah.
Russ: and what would that do?
Kiri: can't tell you.
Russ: okay.
Kiri: it's, what would you say?
Russ: can't be classified.
Kiri: yeah, I think it is. I think that's the phrase
I'm being told. There are some things I can discuss
that are already in use but experimental things I'm
not allowed to discuss.
Russ: well how am I going to know what I'm using
when I'm doing this stuff? I mean how can I help
with the process if I don't know what the process is
I'm working on?
Kiri: just tell in briefing what the effects were,
how it operated for you, how easy it was and was
there any discomfort? Is there any discomfort five
minutes after, half an hour after, was there any
discomfort whilst you were putting it on?
Russ: the couch?
Kiri: well, anything that you think that could do
with improvement. Anything that you think is
unnecessary.
Russ: hmm.
Kiri: all these things are important but they get
processed and then handed to me.
Russ: good, we'll work on some stuff now, it's
either classified or it's not.
Kiri: and I'll tell you if it is and if we can
discuss it or not.
Russ: there we go.
Kiri: okay.
Russ: okay. Now then, as far as the couch goes, as
that's specialty darling.
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: it's reading biorhythms, monitoring body
functions, energy levels and so forth, right?
Kiri: yeah, sensitive point-to-points that have to
put up with a lot pressure like the rump, the
shoulders.
Russ: okay and what is it doing to alleviate that
pressure?
Kiri: well, if you feel it, it will feel like it
will slightly move.
Russ: yeah, that's more like a padding kind of
thing.
Kiri: uh-huh. It will slightly move in an area like
if it's your rump, right?
Russ: uh-huh.
Kiri: yeah, it will kind of move the pressure
slightly forward.
Russ: I assume that's sort of a jellylike substance
in between.
Kiri: yeah, uh-huh.
Russ: that's what it felt like.
Kiri: yeah, it's actually a kind of organic
substance.
Russ: it is organic?
Kiri: yeah. But the way that it works is that puts
proteins into your body and pulls out harmful stuff,
fluids. For example, when you're doing a long
mission......
Russ: uh-huh.
Kiri: a mission like maybe........
Russ: like Taal does or something?
Kiri: yeah, like Taal does. Something like a forty
hour or fifty hour mission, right? You're in that
seat all the time.
Russ: right.
Kiri: so you need it to be as maximally comfortable
as possible.
Russ: okay.
Kiri: and also you need nourishment and you need to
get rid of bodily fluids and functions.
Russ: right.
Kiri: so, the bodily fluids are sucked out. If you
were to stand up immediately or you put your hand
down, you feel that the points where you're sitting
on...
Russ: uh-huh.
Kiri: are wet. Feels like sweat.
Russ: right.
Kiri: then that's your body fluids being pulled out.
Russ: okay.
Kiri: I wouldn't hold your hand there too long.....
Russ: right.
Kiri: because yeah, your hand will get wet and then
because of the various acids in various functions of
your body, you'll get a slight acid burn.
Russ: that straps are more uncomfortable you use to
strap in with though.
Kiri: which straps?
Russ: the one we used today. It was like a cross
strap.
Kiri: okay.
Russ: could use a little padding.
Kiri: a little padding. But did it restrict your
movement?
Russ: real heavily.
Kiri: okay.
Russ: which it's supposed to I mean, due to the fact
that we were taking a new kind of maneuver
today......
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: in which we.......
Kiri: yeah, because we took out the shoulder straps
if you noticed with the cross strap.
Russ: right. That's what we're using with a single
cross strap instead of the usual stuff which I like
better but it cuts into......
Kiri: why do you like it better?
Russ: well mostly because the one doesn't feel like
you're in like a race car or something, you're in a
crash zone.
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: feels more like a seat belt, like in a car.
Kiri: yeah. But for safety's sake, which one would
be better?
Russ: well I'd say just the single one, it's quite
adequate due to the fact......
Kiri: not my opinion.
Russ: what you've got to remember, I mean that's
only for safety features. There's range of movement
and stuff.
Kiri: yeah, but in a violent maneuver.
Russ: that was quite adequate for what we did today.
Kiri: hmmm.
Russ: we didn't go into any violent maneuvers. It
was a really sharp up and then down again.
Kiri: okay, I'll have to look into this.
Russ: but I mean when we took the up part, the strap
cut into my shoulder real hard and when it did
that.......
(we hear some stuff being moved around)
Kiri: is that better?
Russ: I guess so.
Kiri: of course, as long as Tia doesn't start
bouncing around again.
Russ: right.
Kiri: okay.
Russ: so when the strap cut in......
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: that kind of threw me off as far as my
farsighting went.
Kiri: okay.
Russ: because it was more annoying than it was
comfortable.
Kiri: okay.
Russ: so I think even a padding across the shoulder
part there on that strap will really help out a lot.
Kiri: now then, we're going to be running an
experiment on Nazreal.
(Karra's son and pilot of the craft I'm training in)
Kiri: we're going to be using a helmet interface.
Russ: right.
Kiri: which is actually going to implant in here and
here. It's going to penetrate the skin....
Russ: right.
Kiri: but isn't going to penetrate the skull into
the brain. It's just going to penetrate the skin.
It's going to be like needles. You have one, two,
three, four and probably another four up here but I
haven't decided yet. Now than, no, I can't discuss
that.......nor that, that's about all I can discuss.
Russ: how about I go over the helmet features then.
Kiri: hmmm, that's not really my field, you'd have
to talk to somebody else.
Russ: okay. Hmmm, the feet could use a bit more
support.
Kiri: okay, we can make them wider and longer.
Russ: that would be a lot better because I mean the
way it is now it feels like they wants to slip a
little bit. It was more like, you know those
Frankenstein couches?
Kiri: no, but I could probably look it up.
Russ: in Mark's brain, you're going to see this
thing that shows a movie called Frankenstein and on
it there's like this shelf that the feet rest
against.
Kiri: no, I don't get anything apart from no, it's
alive?
Russ: right.
Kiri: and my name is not Frankenstein, it's
Frankenstein?
Russ: right. Anyway, a little more feet support
please....
Kiri: okay.
Russ: in case of those violent maneuvers and stuff
that are called for.
Kiri: yeah, no, can't do it.
Russ: you can't do it?
Kiri: no.
Russ: why?
Kiri: it didn't clear the emergency exit procedures.
Russ: can't you make them in and out? Kind of slip
them into the couch and out again?
Kiri: no, because in emergency procedures you grab
hold of the handles here, right?
Russ: right.
Kiri: and you push yourself to you get out, right?
Russ: right. I mean you use the feet to lever
yourself up with.
Kiri: well, can't be done. Emergency procedures is
"pow".
Russ: right, I hope I don't get to practice that.
Kiri: no and you won't. They just tell you how to do
it.
Russ: okay. So who do I talk to about the helmet?
The guys I worked with today?
Kiri: yeah.
Russ: when I work with them again next time?
Kiri: you'll be heading out to Sirius and probably
taking them back.
Russ: okay, no problem. Any way you can tell me how
much of the couch is integrated with the ship?
Kiri: all of it is integrated with the ship, it is
part of the ship.
Russ: okay. So, is there a way we can work out
either through the helmet or through the
couch........
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: since you work with the guys anyway, right?
Kiri: sometimes.
Russ: okay. So maybe we can work out some kind of
stimulus package.
Kiri: hmmm, I'll see what I come up with.
Russ: because all I need is more sensory awareness
in my body while on the couch.
Kiri: yeah. Okay, I'll see what I come up with.
Russ: maybe like something where you put a quarter
in and it vibrates?
Kiri: you've been talking to Luna again, haven't
you?
(Russ starts chuckling)
Russ: oh, that's right. Oh by the way......
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: your son is a genius.
Kiri: no he's not, he's just very talented.
Russ: I want to throw that out there real quickly.
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: did you get the holograms back?
Kiri: which holograms?
Russ: the ones with the.....
Kiri: oh yeah. No, I haven't gotten back yet. Sorry,
I'm just slightly discomforted.
Russ: I noticed that.
Kiri: yeah, I'm thinking, thinking. Tia said
something about you gave a tape to somebody?
Russ: I gave a tape to Laura today.
Kiri: ahh, okay.
Russ: a cassette tape.
Kiri: okay.
Russ: one of the sessions where you were talking
about....
Kiri: oh, my dissertation.
Russ: your dissertation, yes.
Kiri: yes.
Russ: a dissertation on love, a classic I thought.
Kiri: yeah, thank you. And what is the definition of
love?
Russ: caring about somebody else more than yourself.
Kiri: or the needs of the many outweigh the needs of
the few.
Russ: so anyway, go over the holograms when you can.
Kiri: okay, I'll try but I'm a fairly busy young
lady.
Russ: this is your son you're talking about who
you're more proud of than anybody else in the entire
universe, so I'll be danged if you're not gonna be
rushing out to get those holograms as fast as you
can.
Kiri: well, I'm not that proud of him. I'm just
proud that he's my son.
Russ: you're too humble to admit it.
Kiri: probably part of my problem.
Russ: for the kittens, I mean obviously Tia keeps
them entertained. So, anyway......
Kiri: yes?
Russ: after you see these holograms, you'll be
hugely proud of your son.
Kiri: yes, I probably will be.
(We hear Kiri sorting through something)
Russ: what's it say?
Kiri: I have difficulty reading your English
sometimes.
Russ: my English?
Kiri: well....
Russ: oh, our English. It is a Heavenly employee
buck. Funny money.
Kiri: funny money? Why is it called funny money?
Russ: it's not real money. It's to be spent at the
resort.
Kiri: oh.
(Kiri sings a phrase from a song she knows)
Russ: well, why don't you practice that for a
second. I'm gonna put this on pause and go to the
bathroom, right?
(The session resumes)
Kiri: okay, where were we?
Russ: your son.
Kiri: oh yes, my son. Yes, he's clever, intelligent
and too smart for his own good. Practice, hand eye
coordination, see how good I was?
Russ: very good.
Kiri: yeah.
Russ: anyway, your son......
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: is teaching me a few things.
Kiri: yeah?
Russ: in other words, he's pushing me to my limits
now.
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: so, with your permission my dear mother,
mother of your son in other words.........
Kiri: what do you want?
Russ: to work with your son for a while.
Kiri: you want to work with me from time to time,
huh?
Russ: oh.
Kiri: with my son.
Russ: the prodigy.
Kiri: he's not a prodigy.
Russ: I know, I know, I know.
Kiri: I wish you wouldn't say that.
Russ: you look at the holograms and you tell me he's
not a prodigy and I'll apologize.
Kiri: define a prodigy.
Russ: it is someone who is advanced beyond his
limits.
Kiri: he's not advanced beyond his limits.
Russ: fine, look at the holograms and tell me he's
not a prodigy next week when I talk to you, then
I'll apologize profusely.
Kiri: now, let me see, I need some help from you.
Russ: all right.
Kiri: I need you to model a ski suit for me.
Russ: all right.
Kiri: uh-huh.
Russ: sure.
Kiri: and also, if you're up for it, I want you to
come and join in the races.
Russ: a first this year.
Kiri: it's gonna be the
Heavenly.........Heavenly....
Russ: Heavenly.
(Russ bursts out laughing)
Kiri: now, you put that in there.
Russ: hey, I didn't touch it girl.
Kiri: no, it was about that Heavenly money?
Russ: oh, the funny money.
Kiri: yes.
Russ: yes.
Kiri: that snuck up on me. It's going to be the
Hades Base open ski race.
Russ: will it now?
Kiri: yes.
Russ: I'm a little bit out of my league I'm afraid
but.....
Kiri: downhill.
Russ: do you have like amateurs league or something
there?
Kiri: well, I'm not allowed to race yet and neither
is Mark.
Russ: oh, in that case I've got a shot.
Kiri: yes. Tia says that she might be racing in it
if she's up for it. We're gonna have some of the
hairy guys.
(The Wookie engineers on the base)
Russ: snowboarding, huh?
Kiri: uh-huh. We're going to have some other people
that have taken up skiing. Some of the ladies and
gentlemen that are here from Sirius that ski are
going to be there.
Russ: wow, it's going to be a stellar
accomplishment.
Kiri: oh yeah. I'm going to be one of the....
Russ: judges?
Kiri: the course designers along with Mark. Mark
doesn't know this yet.
Russ: oh.
Kiri: we're going to do three different courses.
Russ: really?
Kiri: yes. We're going to have the downhill, that's
the very, very long one.
Russ: is that the one from the wall down?
Kiri: well, from the side of the wall. We're gonna
go across the top of the wall.....
Russ: uh-huh.
Kiri: and swing down.
Russ: yep.
Kiri: and then join that trail and then it branches
off again and there's a real, sharp drop-off and it
comes out a little bit further.
Russ: yeah.
Kiri: and then it curves back in and there's another
sharp drop-off in it comes down to the finish line.
And we've got a giant slalom which is half the
length from where.....
Russ: the first drop-off is?
Kiri: yeah. And then we're gonna have a.........no,
that's the super G course, super giant slalom.
Russ: oh.
Kiri: and then just the giant slalom is that last
bit.
Russ: oh, so the super G you're dealing with tight
gates.
Kiri: no, that's the giant.
Russ: oh.
Kiri: well actually it's slalom that's the tight
gates.
Russ: oh.
Kiri: but the super G is about a mile whereas the
downhill is about two and a bit.
Russ: well.
Kiri: that's why it's it's got curves and spread
around a little bit.
Russ: I see how that could happen.
Kiri: uh-huh. So this going to be some real wicked
corners but Mark and myself are going to work that
course out and ski it. We're going to race each
other and we're going to set the times for it, the
qualifying times.
Russ: you just tell me when and I'll be there.
Kiri: okay. From the canvassing I've done I've got
about twenty people that are interested but I need
more.
Russ: for sure, count me in.
Kiri: we need about forty. We're going to
have...hmm, what do you say, amateur?
Russ: amateur.
Kiri: yeah, amateur and advanced or intermediate and
advanced.
Russ: just toss me around wherever you need me.
Kiri: okay. Okay, more questions?
Russ: I need to get some practice runs in.
Kiri: okay, I can arrange that.
Russ: all right love, I'll get some practice in.
Kiri: okay.
Russ: all right, which means I'll have to work on my
farsighting too but I'll work with your son also.
Kiri: well you'll have to work with Omal who is
working with my son.
Russ: I'll work with Omal.
Kiri: yeah.
Russ: there enough.
Kiri: okay?
Russ: that's it darling.
Kiri: no more questions?
Russ: oh, come on girl, you know I always have
trouble getting questions for you.
Kiri: okay. Now I've gotta go and change because I
was jogging before I got here and my jogging pants
are rather wet from sweat.
Russ: all right.
Kiri: yeah, it's a little bit uncomfortable
actually.
Russ: well have fun and I'll keep you posted on
further couch developments.
Kiri: yes, oh well.
Russ: oh well.
Kiri: better hand back.
Russ: okay. Bye love.
Kiri: I'm out of here.
(Tia pops into the channeling field for the less
than a minute left on this side)
Tia: yeah.
Russ: hi Tia. Archaeological ruins.
Tia: maybe not tonight.
Russ: okay. Who's next
Tia: why did you change the subject?
(Russ laughs a bit)
Russ: I'm just curious.
Tia: hmm.
Russ: now they all left.......
Kiri: okay.
Russ: okay.........
SIDE
ONE ENDS
|
SIDE TWO
(Omal is the first speaker of
the second side)
Omal: greetings Russ.
Russ: greetings Omal.
Omal: and how are you functioning?
Russ: I'm not sure actually. It's fluctuating
wildly.
Omal: yes. Tia is transmitting I believe?
Russ: yes.
Omal: I believe she has things planned for this
evening.
Russ: anyway........
Omal: what do you mean by that?
Russ: oh nothing, I'll work it out with Karra.
Omal: I'm sure that it's perfectly all right with
Karra.
Russ: oh I'm sure it's all right with Karra,
that's not what I'm worried about. But someone is
going to have to explain this to Mark. I'm fine
with Karra.
Omal: oh, okay. I think I understand what you
mean. Okay, let us proceed.
Russ: manifestation. Have you had a chance to
check out the holograms yet from my session with
Alex?
Omal: no I haven't, I've been fairly busy.
Russ: I'll fill you in later.
Omal: I was just going to say, "okay, manifest for
me".
Russ: third dimensional wise, I'm still having a
little bit of trouble with it.
Omal: okay, tell you what......
Russ: right.
Omal: let me manifest something up here.
Russ: okay.
Omal: let me see, what would be perfect? A swan.
Russ: oh God.
Omal: what type of swan would you wish for?
Russ: it'd have to be the same one we were trying
to get before.
Omal: okay, I have a swan here.
Russ: okay.
Omal: now, manifest it and call it to you. Come
on, come here swan. Swan? Come here. Here swan,
swan? Come on. Come on.
(Russ gets done laughing)
Russ: I'm having to concentrate at that point.
Hold on a second, let me see if I can pull this
through real quick................................
Omal: come on swan, here swan. Here swan. Should
we try something a little bit easier?
Russ: yeah, boxes seem to be my big forte lately.
Omal: how about a penny?
Russ: oh God. Boxes seem to be real easy for me.
Omal: okay, penny in a box.
Russ: black box you can't see through.
Omal: okay, let us continue with your questions.
Russ: all right.
Omal: I've had my entertainment.
Russ: that's good.
Omal: here swan. Brings back old memories, does it
not?
(From our group with another channeler bringing
through Omal in Sedona)
Russ: way old memories.
Omal: yes, those were fun.
Russ: a group of uncoordinated,
non-meta-concerting people trying to put together
a meta-concert in a very primitive..........
Omal: we did outline at the time what we wanted.
Russ: yeah.
Omal: it was set up in a way that there would be a
focusing point.
Russ: yes, but if we had worked it out in a a
meta-concert style.........
Omal: you weren't ready.
Russ: you don't think so?
Omal: not at that point, no. You were still
individuals or, let me rephrase that, you were
individuals but weren't used to working as a team.
Russ: yeah, but if we could have had the majority
of the individuals just pumping energy.......
Omal: but you needed somebody to focus it and
there was nobody ready to focus at that time.
Russ: what about Reva? She was pretty......
Omal: hmmm, she was border point and it was look
at the best subject and she tended to insert her
own desires in at that point.
Russ: oh.
Omal: yes. She tried to be the boss.
Russ: right, well that's why I thought she would
have been a good executive.
Omal: no, she would've been a better conductor
than an executive.
Russ: oh, I suppose you're right. Anyway, good
practice though for working on future projects.
Omal: yes, it is as you say, "you must sift many
pebbles to find one gem".
Russ: hmm, that's deep. Anyway, concerning
manifestation with sifting gems.....
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: I was working with Alex and it started off
as just sort of a game.....
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: and it turned into a bit more than that.
Basically, for some reason he manifested a little
block.....
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: preparing to toss.....
Omal: yes, that is part of the
entertainment.......
Russ: right.
Omal: is that he does that to get my attention, he
will fire it at me, it just bounces off. It
doesn't even hurt, it just.......yeah. It's like
somebody just touching me.
Russ: right. Well at that point, I came up with a
nice big four by four black box, hollow with just
a real thin molecules put together like a
cellophane type material.....
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: just to put light weight I can PK with
manifestation and fly it.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: and floated that a bit and then popped it
and that got him going and then and we started
playing around with the big boxes like that. He
would reform it.....
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: I would squeeze inside of it and pop it and
then then I would reform it and I would drop it in
over his crib.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: he would stick his head out and he would pop
it.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: we were having all kinds of fun but it's
like he pushes me to my limits.
Omal: yes, he sees you as an adult, as fully
grown.
Russ: right. Yes?
Omal: hello.
Russ: Ganja.
Omal: this is the cat that Tia hunted?
Russ: yeah, she chased that cat.
Omal: Tia's just stuck her head around the corner
and said, "somebody mention my name?" You know
feline, it might not be safe for you to sit there.
At the moment you are perfectly safe. Okay, let us
continue.
Russ: okay, so two things, number one I'd like to
work with Alex......
Omal: okay.
Russ: as far as manifestation wise. Because I mean
he turns it into a game instead of an exercise
which I like.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: but also, does he have a sort of a coercive
ability too maybe?
Omal: very limited.
Russ: it is very limited.
Omal: yes, he inherited it from his mother.
Russ: hmm.
Omal: the same as he has limited farsighting
ability.....
Russ: right.
Omal: but his main field is.......
Russ: manifestation.
Omal: correct, which he seems to have inherited
from his grandfather..
Russ: right. All right, now with his
manifestation......
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: coming along the way it is, what kind of
progress steps should I look for to maybe assist
him also?
Omal: it would be more along the lines of him
assisting you.
Russ: okay, that's fair enough.
Omal: him reaching and giving you a hand.
Russ: okay. Because he has sort of a childlike
looking at things that is quite precious.
Omal: yes. He is a nice child to have around.
Russ: that's for sure. All right, we'll work on
that. Now then, next week we'll be......
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: down working with Laura......
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: at her space.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: so we're going to be moving the channeling
session down to Carson City.
Omal: we'll have to track you as you go so we can
connect up easier.
Russ: okay. We should be down there around six.
Omal: okay.
Russ: I've got some news items for you.
Omal: okay.
Russ: all right, today I was working on my ship
with Nazreal on corridors in space.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: and we were working on the interface into
the helmet and stuff. But my question is, is we
were going to Centauri....
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: the new program we have designed to help us
is to map the outlines of the corridors in
space........
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: that we use to travel in and out of. But now
are these corridors set up due to debris outside
of the corridors or is it set up kind of like a
freeway system?
Omal: it is set up like one of your autobahns.
Russ: oh it is?
Omal: he's loud, isn't he?
Russ: he is quite the purr box.
Omal: okay, let us continue with the questions.
Russ: now then, what I noticed is that
specifically Alpha Centauri......
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: had what looked like about four different
routes coming in.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: and I was wondering if this from various
sectors of space people coming in from points of
the compass?
Omal: yes. Well actually there is a junction point
but there are other junctions that blend in with
it.
Russ: oh, I see. Now, farsighting I ignore such
corridors.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: but in using the ships......
Omal: you have to obey the local laws.
Russ: right. Now, why is there a need for that
though? Is that for just like traffic control?
Omal: yes, think about it. How many ships were in
your area?
Russ: hmmm...
Omal: that were close.
Russ: none.
Omal: and you felt perfectly safe. But if it
wasn't set up the way it is, you may have five or
six within your area and not feel
very........what's he doing?
Russ: purring.
Omal: ahhh.
Russ: sign of contentment.
Omal: yes.
Russ: oh, I see, so it's traffic control.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: oh, I get it. So in other words, Nazreal was
getting input that I wasn't getting.
Omal: correct.
Russ: ahhhh, I see. So he's calling traffic
controllers.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: whereas I don't need the information, it
would be.....
Omal: that's correct.
Russ: superfluous.
Omal: superfluous
Russ: superfluous.
Omal: superfluous.
Russ: right. Then that is something I can just
look at later and can access my files.
Omal: certainly.
Russ: oh, and so then that way when we're going in
for a landing, he's being directed to a certain
leading pad.
Omal: correct.
Russ: oh, I see.
Omal: that's why he always have a perfect landing.
Russ: oh.
Omal: occasionally we will let him do the landings
on manual in an emergency situation test.
Russ: right.
Omal: and also just to keep his skill up.
Russ: hmm, I see. Oh, so Hades Base has the same
corridors coming in.
Omal: correct.
Russ: oh.
Omal: I would like a joke explained?
Russ: sure.
Omal: what is, "Jester's dead, ye ha?" I heard it
mentioned a couple of times today in various
reports.
Russ: apparently, Nazreal's managed to pick up a
nickname.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: Jester.
Omal: that is a good sign.
Russ: yes, it's a pilots kind of thing.
Omal: yes, that's why I'm saying it's a good sign.
It means that you guys are starting to be
accepted.
Russ: right. I think they tried out a nickname
with me, something that was like never there?
Omal: I think what they're leaning towards, if
rumors are correct, is the seventh dwarf?
(Russ starts laughing)
Omal: what's his name, Sleepy?
Russ: Sleepy, yeah. That's about right.
Omal: yes. That is why think it's going to be the
seventh dwarf.
Russ: well that's good though. I mean it shows
that we are getting accepted there.
Omal: uh-huh. Every pilot does have a nickname.
Russ: same as down here?
Omal: yes. Taal's is the lunatic, because he
isn't.
Russ: right, because he isn't. But that's why
Nazreal got the Jester.
Omal: I don't quite follow that.
Russ: because he's so serious.
Omal: ahh.
Russ: it doesn't come as easy as it does to these
other guys who are born into it.
Omal: no, and he doesn't smile as much.
Russ: no. I see, I see. But no, we were having fun
with that so the joke is Jester's dead, ye ha. But
no, we're having fun today. Next question, is I'm
wondering if earth is at a certain point right now
in......
Omal: probably.
Russ: okay, it's moving. But I mean if you were to
freeze it right this second, how long would it
take for it to rotate around the galaxy and back
to the point it started from?
Omal: if you were to freeze it, now?
Russ: right.
Omal: never.
Russ: okay, well let's just say if it's rotating,
how long would it ever reach that same point
again?
Omal: if you freeze it no, never.
Russ: if you didn't freeze it then?
Omal: if you freeze it, capped the movement......
Russ: right.
Omal: it takes approximately a hundred thousand
million years....
Russ: really?
Omal: to go from this point back to this point.
Russ: right. Now, what I'm trying to go for here
is some theories we've been discussing before
about the evolution of consciousness......
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: in relationship to celestial movement.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: the first point is, why does celestial
movement affect consciousness?
Omal: because it is a pull of other minds within
that field.
Russ: so in other words, not just earth, but other
minds within that step field of planets.
Omal: uh-huh, lesser and greater minds.
Russ: right. You've got Sirius, Alpha
Centauri.....
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: earth, Hades Base and so on and so forth.
Omal: correct.
Russ: and why does the movement affect that pull?
Omal: because there are times when they are nearer
and there are times when they are further.
Russ: so as those minds get nearer......
Omal: the pull is stronger.
Russ: the greater minds.....
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: there is a greater pull towards.....ohhh, I
see.
Omal: says the blind man.
Russ: as he picked up his hammer and saw. Ahh, so
we are emerging....
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: from a distant point theoretically....
Omal: yes.
Russ: moving towards a nearer point. And does that
affect all minds within that planetary.......or
that sphere?
Omal: yes.
Russ: let's call it. Okay, now do those minds in
that sphere interact on any level besides what
we're talking about?
Omal: no, not unless physical interaction occurs.
Russ: okay. Do minds incarnate within that
physical sphere then?
Omal: yes, unless they need to learn a different
lesson.
Russ: I see. So to put it in earth terms......
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: it would be like getting transferred around
to a bunch of different schools in the county.
Omal: yes, to learn different things.
Russ: to learn different things because we're
specialized. For example, I can go to Berkeley and
learn about......
Omal: superconductors.
Russ: superconductors. Or I can go to John Hopkins
and learn about.....
Omal: medicine.
Russ: medicine and so on and so forth. Or there's
elementary schools and there's junior highs....
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: there is high schools, there's universities,
there's trade schools, business schools.......
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: that would sort of be a correlation to what
we're talking about.
Omal: correct.
Russ: I see, I see, okay. And that's why you might
meet someone for the very first time because they
got transferred from another school.
Omal: correct. That falls in with the answer we
gave......
Russ: last week.
Omal: correct.
Russ: I just love this stuff.
Omal: little bit at a time.
Russ: little bit at a time but boy, big pieces
that fit into a huge puzzle.
Omal: okay, next question please.
Russ: okay, do the points of that hundred thousand
million years......
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: are they divided up into kind of like ages
or epoques or.......?
Omal: no.
Russ: okay, so there isn't like you go a quarter
of the way.....
Omal: and it is the age of......
Russ: something, yeah.
Omal: yeah. No, it doesn't work that way because
planets learn at a different rate.
Russ: oh.
Omal: some learn faster, some learn slower. Some
may go from being slow to fast and the fast ones
may go to being slow.
Russ: I see.
Omal: but it is not an even learning, it is very
uneven.
Russ: right. Now, there are certain times where
schools close down.
Omal: uh-huh, not in this case.
Russ: not in this case, okay, good. And all of
this I assume is on a perfect curriculum.
Omal: no.
Russ: there is random factors.......
Omal: there are random factors which aids to the
learning experience.
Russ: ahhh, I see. So isn't everything perfect?
Omal: no, you ask as a jest.
Russ: I ask as a jest, of course.
Omal: okay....
Russ: that's it.
Omal: oh, okay.
Russ: unless you have something.
Omal: I was trying to think of some jokes but
unfortunately I do not have any at hand at the
moment.
Russ: oh, by the way, I was reading a book, or
starting a book I had read before.........
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: in which our world went through a military
collapse and basically it started a domino effect.
One bank closed down, there was a run on it and
the right conditions were there that it dominoed
out......
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: and the world economies collapsed.
Omal: it wouldn't be the first time that had
happened on your planet.
Russ: not it hasn't. But is this a reality of the
future that would be something to be prepared
for....
Omal: yes.
Russ: and planned for?
Omal: yes. There are certain things that you have
to look for.
Russ: triggers.
Omal: yes. A big, rapid, quick boom, I think
that's the correct word.
Russ: right.
Omal: where everything seems to be going great
guns very, very fast. One day it is ten points,
the next day it's a thousand points and then the
following day after that it's two thousand points
or ten thousand points. Where all of sudden it
will peak and it will go down so quick.
Russ: hmm, okay.
Omal: look at your history to understand this. Not
only 1929....
Russ: uh-huh.
Omal: but even back into your last century,
1890's.
Russ: oh, I see.
Omal: have a look.
Russ: it would have been primitive systems.
Omal: no, not too primitive because it wasn't
primitive. It is the same system, it's just made
more efficient by electronic equipment.
Russ: oh, I see.
Omal: and the affect is much more rapid because of
that.
Russ: oh.
Omal: but the boom, if what occurred in 1929
occurred now, it would be a matter of hours, not a
matter of days, it would be a matter of hours that
people go from having lots of money to no money on
paper.
Russ: right, on paper. How do you prepare for
something like that, any ideas?
Omal: improve your garden, save seeds, arm
yourself.....
Russ: I see.
Omal: not only physically arm yourself but
mentally be prepared.
Russ: all right. So in another words, a book that
I've got called "Survival in the 21st
Century"......
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: would be a good homework assignment....
Omal: yes.
Russ: before I start going nut bar from this
concerning what you just mentioned.
Omal: correct.
Russ: I mean, at least we're in the right place
for it.
Omal: does she wear army boots?
Russ: which one?
Omal: one that just came down the stairs.
Russ: she probably did. Thank you Omal.
Omal: you're welcome.
Russ: I think you just gave me some good clues to
start preparing for, especially concerning our
visitor of the day.
Omal: uh-huh.
Russ: they might be of assistance in the future.
Omal: yes. Things are sometimes...
Russ: right. It's been wonderful talking.
Omal: Omal to Enterprise, beam me up Kirk. I'll be
back.
(Tia comes on to make a quick transition)
Tia: somebody's got to be on the job.
Russ: you betcha....
Tia: okay.....
Russ: ring mistress extraordinaire. All right
darling, now that you've had your fun.
(Alana comes on to channel for a short bit)
Alana: hey Russ.
(Russ laughs out loud)
Russ: well hi.
Alana: mom's not here yet.
Russ: oh, is she tired or something?
Alana: yeah.
Russ: it's probably why I've been so tired. How
are you doing Alana?
Alana:?
Russ: well that's good to hear, or see I suppose.
Alana: yeah, okay.
Russ: cool. So we're going to be working together
on the crystal then?
Alana: uh-huh.
Russ: good, okay. Now, how do you want to mesh
that up together?
Alana: hmmm, why don't you take the lead and I'll
just tie the energy.
Russ: okay. So in other words, we'll be doing the
same thing we were doing today whereby we'll mix
the two energies into one stream....
Alana: uh-huh.
Russ: as it goes in...
Alana: yeah.
Russ: and then I'll just keep pulling and we'll
both be increasing then that connection.
Alana: uh-huh, yeah, that's what we're going to
do.
Russ: okay. Yeah, thanks for handing that to me,
it gave me some more extra energy.
Alana: you're welcome. I've got lots to spare.
Russ: are you sure you're not a real good healer
too on the side?
Alana: hmm, I'm a communicator.
Russ: yeah, I know but sometimes I wonder about
your healing capacity too. It's pretty intense.
Alana: well, if I say something I can do it, but
as a healer just for everybody, can't do it.
Russ: really?
Alana: yeah.
Russ: well you're already emphatic, aren't you?
Alana: hmm, with certain people and certain
creatures.
Russ: oh, I see. So it takes a certain bonding or
maybe a close enough opportunity....
Alana: uh-huh.
Russ: for you to be able to do that.
Alana: yeah, actually let them in. Hmmm....
Russ: what?
Alana: ahh, just some guests walked in.
Russ: oh really?
Alana: uh-huh.
Russ: oh, good. Okay Anyway, how was your work
doing?
Alana: it's going fine. I'm going to hand over to
the guest.
Russ: oh, okay. We'll see you in a while Alana.
Alana: okay.
(Nazreal makes a surprise visit fresh from a
flight)
Nazreal: hey.
Russ: hey Taal.
Nazreal: no.
Russ: Nazreal?
Nazreal: yes.
Russ: not.
Nazreal: Jester.
Russ: not. Dude, how you doing?
Nazreal: functioning well, unable to hand
movements.
Russ: oh, that's all right, that's all right. At
least you got the mouth down.
Nazreal: trying hard, just say fun.
Russ: well congratulations on your new nickname.
Nazreal: thank you. Bye.
Russ: bye.
(Alana takes the place of her
brother again as we can now discuss things)
Alana: yeah.
Russ: yeah, we've got a thrash in the mess on
Thursday to go to.
Alana: ahhh.
Russ: a pilots kind of thing.
Alana: he just walked in.......
Russ: all right.
Alana: wearing his overalls, dirty, needs to take
a shower. There he goes, big brother is.
Russ: I like this sibling fun stuff here. But
thank you for letting him in.
Alana: you're welcome. He walked in and I got
flashed by Tia that he never channels.
Russ: he never channels.
Alana: only once.
Russ: twice.
Alana: twice now.
Russ: no, that's his third time.
Alana: oh really?
Russ: uh-huh, he's channeled twice before.
Alana: oh.
Russ: when Bethany was here.
Alana: yes.
Russ: only because she forced him to.
Alana: yes, he has a picture of that young lady.
Russ: oh yeah.
Alana: uh-huh.
Russ: I took that picture of the young lady.
Alana: yes, I'd like to meet her sometime.
Russ: I doubt you'll ever get the chance but we
can always hope. But no.....
Alana: she sounds like my type.
Russ I think she might be. But yeah, we're kind of
in a celebrating mode at this point due to the
fact that we're kind of earning our nickname
now....
Alana: uh-huh.
Russ: in the paddock field which is kind of a
major accomplishment.
Alana: so that's good.
Russ: better than a medal.
Alana: uh-huh. Means that you can be chewed out
and complain and bellyache with the rest of them.
Russ: yeah right, that's it.
Alana: and you can chew other pilots out the same
way.
Russ: yeah, because I'm the seventh dwarf, Sleepy.
Alana: oh. You've never fallen to sleep on me.
Russ: no, not yet but you're one of the few people
I haven't fallen asleep on.
Alana: any man that falls to sleep on me, I'm
going to become a nun and move into a monastery.
Russ: I doubt it. It'd be very impossible to fall
asleep on you my dear.
Alana: thank you. Okay.
Russ: all right.
Alana: now, I won't be able to channel the week.
Russ: oh, bummer.
Alana: oh, it's not a bummer because we'll be
working on the new dolphin house.
Russ: oh, you are? How's that coming?
Alana: uh-huh. Well we've got it almost finished
and we've got them putting rocks and coral and
smaller fish into that pool.
Russ: oh, are the dolphins helping at all?
Alana: well, they helped with the layout for the
ground. And then we've got to put in the
saltwater.
Russ: hmm.
Alana: and then from there, I'm going to be
working helping them to get used to their new
environment.
Russ: well good.
Alana: so the only times that you can come over
and see me is when I'm not working but I will be
sleeping there temporarily.
Russ: good, it's a deal.
Alana: it's about twice the size as well.
Russ: all right.
Alana: and we're also getting in new dolphins as
well. They're coming in all the way from Sirius.
Russ: wow.
Alana: uh-huh. We'll have four more from Sirius
and then maybe a month or so later we'll be
bringing up four from your planet that will be put
into quarantine in the old pool temporarily. And
then they will be taken for medical treatment so
they won't get to go in there until
probably.....how many would that be? It's going to
be about four months from when they arrive here
before they join the others in the swimming pool.
Russ: when will I be able to work with the ones
from this planet as far as.....
Alana: when they join the swimming pool.
Russ: oh, okay.
Alana: yeah, because they have to be in quarantine
first of all.....
Russ: oh.
Alana: to make sure they haven't brought any
strange illnesses with them.
Russ: that's something I wouldn't have to ever
worry about.
Alana: no, but there are people up here and the
other dolphins. And then they have to go in for
medical treatments which is.......
Russ: well, in other words, I could go solve them
where I would be able to train for something like
that.
Alana: no, you don't have to worry about that
because you're not coming physically from one
place to another. You're coming in astral form,
sending your being, whereas if you were to come
from your planet in a spacecraft, it's different.
Russ: oh, I would be in quarantine.
Alana: correct.
Russ: I get it. All right. Well how are you doing
my dear, mother of my child.
Alana: excellent.
Russ: do we have any idea yet on......
Alana: no, too early, way too early.
Russ: way too early. That's what I thought.
Alana: uh-huh. You've got to remember that your
boys only made up their mind about two months ago.
Russ: but I am learning nappy changing.
Alana: yes, about time from what I hear.
Russ: amazing. I'm a stubborn kinda guy you know.
Alana: old-fashioned kind of person.
Russ: right, yeah. Well, never having to do it
before my entire existence on this planet yet.
Alana: uh-huh, yeah. Makes funny noises, doesn't
it?
Russ: I am getting used to it now so I'll be able
to share in those duties.
Alana: good.
Russ: and by the time our baby comes, I'll be a
downright expert at it.
Alana: yes.
Russ: knowing Karra.
Alana: uh-huh.
Russ: ahh Alana, I'll come up and see you this
evening.
Alana: okay. Yeah, tonight I'm going to be a
little bit busy and then tomorrow I'm skiing.
Taking lessons with auntie Kiri.
Russ: how about I meet you? What time are you
going skiing?
Alana: I don't know your times.
Russ: I figure I'll be going up there probably
eleven-ish.
Alana: what times that up here.
Russ: there's a two hour difference I think?
You'll have to ask somebody.
Michael okay.
Russ: but I think there's a two hour difference
but I'm not sure.
Alana: uh-huh.
Russ: but either way.......
Alana: well, when you come up just ask the
computer where I am.
Russ: right, that's good enough. I'll find
you......
Alana: tell to me all be on the....
Russ: slopes?
Alana: yeah.
Russ: I'll track you down on my skis.
Alana: okay.
Russ: good, because I could use some practice too.
Alana: yeah, I'm going to try this race thingy.
Russ: good.
Alana: uh-huh. No, I'm going to use old-fashioned
skis.
Russ: not the Kiri specials?
Alana: no, that's for on our planet super
competitive.
Russ: I'm going to be in the old fashion section.
Alana: Kiri says that you'd have to go into the
advanced class racing?
Russ: oh, to use those skis?
Alana: uh-huh.
Russ: better stick with old fashion.
Alana: yeah.
Russ: all right love, well we'll be looking for
you tomorrow.
Alana: okay.
Russ: I'm stoked and excited.
Alana: uh-huh.
Russ: in the meantime, have a good evening.
Alana: okay, bye.
(Tia comes on to wrap things
up)
Russ: hello Tia.
(Tia says hello in Durondedunn)
Russ: I can't believe you went after him, he was
moving so fast and you were moving just as fast.
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: Mark's going to love the hell out of that
one.
Tia: I'm not going to tell him, I'm going to let
him find out himself.
Russ: okay.
Tia: if you want to tell him go ahead.
Russ: I won't tell him either, I'll let it be a
surprise.
Tia: okay. Well we'll see how smart he is because
I banged his knees a couple of times.
Russ: I think he'll figure it out.
Tia: well, everybody is getting up and leaving, I
could sit here and talk if you want.
Russ: is Karra up there?
Tia: if you want, I can....
Russ: no, that's all right, I'll go up and see her
later.
Tia: well, I can ask the computer and find out
what her cycle is in her brain waves. Want me to
do that?
Russ: if she was on her way.....
Tia: well, I'm going to check anyway to be on the
safe side to see if she isn't. No, according to
the computer that is getting theta waves and alpha
waves? Theta and beta?
Russ: theta and alpha?
Alana: yeah.
Russ: yeah, that means she's crashed out.
Alana: all's it says was current mental status
alpha and theta waves.
Russ: well, since we have time to kill....
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: let's kill some time. Anyway, yeah, now I'm
pretty sure I can make it up there and not fall
asleep on you.
Tia: so the entertainment worked, did it?
Russ: yeah, the entertainment worked. I'm pretty
stoked up right now.
Tia: uh-huh. And let me see, what shall I wear?
Let me see, oh I know. I'm going to wear white
stockings, a sports skirt, a button up shirt and a
halter top.
Russ: just a question will quick. Is this like
going to get us in deep doo doo?
Tia: noo, it will get us in deep doo doo.
Russ: just wondering.
Tia: well, it seems that Kiri had most of his
jealousy burnt out of him.
Russ: did he? Okay.
Tia: some of it anyway.
Russ: okay.
Tia: besides, I would do anything that would hurt
him.
Russ: I know you wouldn't.
Tia: I thought about this very carefully.
Russ: okay.
Tia: it's all part of my plans and Karra's plans,
we have discussed it you know.
Russ well obviously you guys have got a great
communication going.
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: good.
Tia: besides, if it doesn't feel right for you we
won't go all the way.
Russ: Mark's very special.
Tia: oh, I wouldn't worry too much about that,
he's a very nice person. He may get upset for a
day or two and then he'll forget about it. Or at
least forgive about it. Besides, he's wandered off
with Alana I see.
Russ: oh, he has?
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: oh good.
Tia: yeah, I think finally they're starting
to........because that's also part of the plan,
you see.
Russ: oh.
Tia: see, you guys down there, you have moral
taboos about sex.
Russ: well yeah, they're ingrained.
Tia: yeah, it's part of my therapy as well.
Russ: really?
Tia: yeah, because I've never slept with another
guy.
Russ: oh really.
Tia: so I don't know what I'm missing. I've had
Mark and that's it.
Russ: well you're not missing much due to the fact
that my solidity as far as that stuff goes is a
little undecided.
Tia: yeah, but I wouldn't do it with anybody
outside our group.
Russ: oh well then.
Tia: yeah, I wouldn't do it with Nazreal because
Nazreal is on the fringes. Besides, Nazreal's not
my type.
Russ: right.
Tia: and there's so few people that I would do it
with up here. Maybe Taal but Taal seems to have
more moral taboos about it than you guys do.
Russ: no way. Yeah?
Tia: hmm.
Russ: oh.
Tia: I was talking to Katarina about it. She's
pretty easy-going about it but Taal is so
conservative, is that correct?
Russ: yeah.
Tia: it's unbelievable.
Russ: how is Katrina and her pregnancy coming
along?
Tia: oh, slowly. Can't tell, about ten months.
Russ: really?
Tia: uh-huh.
(Russ whistles)
Tia: yeah.
Russ: I guess.
Tia: she's only gone three months so far.
Russ: she's enjoying her motherhood?
Tia: actually, it's getting her down a little bit
because it interferes with her work. She wants to
be back flying. She's four months gone, she's got
another six months to go.
Russ: yikes.
Tia: leaks into the time where she should be
flying lots of missions. But she.....
(Tia whispers something)
Russ: no.
Tia: now, when he's not here.
Russ: what about his moral taboos about that?
Tia: it seems that she rules the roost at home.
Russ: oh, she is the overall head....
Tia: yeah, at home. It seems that she runs the
house and he runs everything else.
Russ: oh. She's a pretty strong personality.
Tia: yeah.
Russ: I'd like to see her again sometime.
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: I haven't seen her since she got pregnant.
Tia: well, you know the girl, that voice that you
hear through your headphones?
Russ: yeah right, that's her?
Tia: that's Katrina.
Russ: not.
Tia: yeah.
Russ: oh.
